I noticed that you mentioned you were staying standard view in December. I thought I would share my standard view photo with you... This was taken from Samoa room #1606

How old is your son? My kids HATED this when we used them. They call them full sized but it is more playpen sozed

Thanks so much bluejasmin. I like the door too. As you can see by my picture I am on the heavy side so the loss of the mirror is actually a benefit for me LOL.

Well puppa is home from surgery. Poor baby is so groggy she can't even focus. I have her laying on two pillows on the floor by the couch so that I can keep watch over her.

Can you see the whole pool from the cabana? I saw them and looked at them surrounded by the lush greenery and wondered. Sure the chairs are super comfy but my only concern would be watching the pool.

My kids are 12, 9 (almost 10) & 7. On our pool days since I was always up early, I made sure I was at the pool by 8-8:15 to get one of the tables by the slide. Dh and I could see the whole pool and could find the kids. I don't think I could do that with a cabana. Plus it was steps to get in the pool and to my spot next to the waterfall and I could see my stuff. Ahhh.. I miss that alone time at the pool. Monday it was just me in the pool for a good half hour.

The regular cabanas have a view of the pool. While you have some privacy due to the foliage, you can set your chair so you can see the pool (and slide). The premium cabana only has a view of the shallow end - you can not see the slide and other side of the pool. I prefer the regular cabana and would not spend the money for the premium one UNLESS I had a large family or I just had to have the beach access.

Either way though, they are all fabulous and a great way to treat you and your family

So excited we have a cabana rented Sept 10th! Is there one that faces the MK area?

That table with umbrella and sofas outside of the cabana does that belong to the cabana? Seems like perfect place to eat lunch!!

The premium cabana is large (octagon shape) and part of it faces MK and part of it faces the bar and the shallow pool. See my post a few pages ago for the view from the premium cabana!

Three weeks from today and we'll be back at the Poly!!! Can't wait!!!

So this time I was thinking of trying a drink I've never tried, I always tend to get the same thing. I've had their Lapu Lapu and absolutely love the Pina Colava's. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good drink at the Poly?

I think its a testament to the Polynesian that those of us on the Poly thread keep coming back to the resort. Even after we say things like 'we can't afford it' or 'we are trying something different' - yet we come back

So true. I gave dh four choices this morning on where we could stay in December, the other three much cheaper in price yet dh without hesitation said The Poly. I was so praying he would because it would have killed me to stay anywhere else. He is as much in love with the Poly as I am.
