We'll be there June 2-7 (family of 3). We are traveling with 2 other families of 4 with us, they have never stayed at the Poly before. Too bad we are leaving the 7th or I would come by to thank you for all of the information you have shared.

I could just wonder around the Poly screaming "Carl" to see if anyone answers.

I could find you!! a huge group of families asking each other questions! LoL :rotfl2::rotfl:
I will be the stressed out guy with a D holding a pineapple, a Princess DD, a tom boy DD and a boy that acts indifferent.

Does anyone know how long the reduced monorail hours will last? We will be there from the 12 - 21 Sept and are just wondering if it will affect our stay at all. Any thoughts?

Thanks:goodvibes

I was just there a week ago and didn't experience any "reduced" monorail hours? I believe they only ran that for a week like that. Unless you are referring to the cut down of hours several months ago?

Don't forget!

Those of you who will be at the poly between June 1st to June 9th, I would like to meet some of you. We have rented the premium cabana all day and night at the poly on the 7th! We are planning a quiet dinner at the cabana around 6p but the rest of the time is wide open. If the live feed is working we can even set up an event to say hello to those who werent fortunate enough to make it on your trip! So pop in and say hello! Of course my name is Carl and my wife's name is Azure :thumbsup2

We will try to stop in and say hello...or aloha...I have the 7th as a free/pool day :beach:

I am right there with you many aches and pains from all the yard work this weekend :laundy:. WE are in Lombard. Its a Little to early to start the tan we dont get to the Poly until November. Cant wait :yay: It will be our first time at the poly :cool1:

Hi neighbor!!!! I can't believe the temps here. Yesterday, 90s and then today low 70s. We think the big temp changed broke the seal in our fairly new patio door and now the glass needs to be replaced. Unfortunately the manufacturer went out of business so NO WARRENTY!!!!

we departed the poly, sadly, this morning at around 3:20am.
we had a great time!!! we had a garden view room and still were able to watch wishes every night from our balcony!!! the only thing keeping it from being a mk view room was a few branches. (room 3227)
the cms were great!!! from the guy who delv. our 2 tons of bags to the room to the cm who gave me a room keys when i locked mine in the room. (yes, locked the room keys, credit cards, cash and drivers lic. in the room)popcorn::
we had a great time at the poly. i will have to say, between the contemp. and the poly, i have to go with the poly. dw likes the poly and dd likes the contemp. :lmao: we wanted to stay there for along time and glad we did it.
im hoping any changes coming to the poly dont destroy the resort. next may, we are going to spend a few nights over at the grand, just to say we did it.
in closing, great resort!!! :thumbsup2

I always HATE leaving as to most of us on this thread, but it really sounds like a wonderful trip! Thanks again for the pictures and I hope I can post a few on our trip!

I am going to try a 24/7 live feed but if not I will bring up a live feed at the cabana and wishes. I( am hoping to get some poly peeps to say hello to their friends back home.

We are just missing you since we don't arrive until the 13th, but look forward to your live feed again!

On a side note - need a few prayers from my Poly Peeps. Rough time here and we really need this break for our family! :littleangel:

:offtopic: kinda!

Those that have gone recently with the new fastpass rules, has the fastpass rules made the fastpass lines shorter? More efficient? Quicker?

I'm curious to find out once we get there. A woman in another thread said the return line was longer than the stand by line at SM. a bit hard to believe, but who knows..

Hi everyone,

I've just booked one night at the Poly CL before our cruise on the Dream in October :cool1:

My husband thinks we're doing POR or CSR instead so it will be a nice surprise for him when we arrive after a 9 hour flight!

I've always loved the Poly after visiting several times to eat, but can't wait to stay there even if it's just for one night. The BC for our 10 day stay post cruise is non-negotiable as we just love the location.

Watching Wishes from the lounge :cloud9:

we used a few fast pass's last week. toy story fp line walked up, no wait at all. pooh , walked up to the merg, no wait in fp line.
buzz, walked in, pass a 45 min. stand by wait line got on the ride no stopping.
im sure there are alot of factors that go into it but for the few we used, it seemed to go alot faster.
toys story was the only fp we waited till the end of the fp to use it.
the others we used in the first 5 min. of the start time.

If anything can make you feel better, it's a Polycation - sending good wishes your way :flower3:

Prayers and Pixie Dust coming your waypixiedust:

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers! We are taking things one day at a time and I try to come here to think positive and escape, but I was having a rough day yesterday. So back to the positives and distracting me from reality!

QUESTION: We've never looked for it, but I seem to remember....does Captain Cooks have a place where you can just fill up with water? Contemplating if it's worth it to order a few cases of water ($20 delivery but other family members may order things as well). We have never ordered before, but water can get costly and I really don't want to have wait in CS lines just for a glass. We were going to bring reusable water bottles and fill at Captain Cooks. :drinking1

prayers 1971dbday

the only place that i noticed to fill water is the soda dispensers have a water button on them. they have a sink but its used for washing mugs, i have a feeling its not cold water. im sure there is a water fountain. sorry, your just a few days late in asking.

I didn't use the water dispenser at the soda dispenser but wasn't crazy about the taste of the tap water in the rooms. We ordered a case of water with our grocery order but used it all with 3 days or so. We then used a bunch of our snack credits to get water everyday.

This was our experience as well. Little to no waits with FP. We never had a problem getting back within the hour with one exception - we were 5 mins. late for Expedition Everest and the CM refused to recognize the 15min. grace period printed on every ticket and wouldn't let us on. No point in arguing and it was our fault for getting there late but it did tick me off that they chose to ignore the grace period policy. We just grabbed another set and made sure we were back there well in advance next time. Word of warning though that the grace period exception does seem to be up to the discretion of whichever CM is manning the gate.

If you are just getting water there is a water button on the dispenser and you can use the ice machine to fill them up with ice! We use camel backs and the ice at the end of the hall to fill thm up. Feels sooo good on the back when walking on hot days!
