Just checked in, Pixie Dust!!!!! Tokalau, third floor, east side away from construction AND we are at the end of the hall and have a little slice of lagoon view!!! AND it is ready!!!!! Lovin' life right now.

OK, I might have missed this along the way but do I need reservations for my 7 yr old daughter to the neverland club? Also, I've been looking for the phone number on tikiman and WDW website and can't find it.

We usually call a day or two ahead of time while we where at the Poly and never had a problem with Neverland...

About the quiet pool, it doesn't really look lime much has been done yet. It is drained and there is the Pardon Our Appearance fence, but that seems to it. It is Sunday so I'm not surprised to not see work going on, we'll see what happens through the week. I'll post some pictures. Also I'd say if you had a 1st or 2nd floor room, the view isn't that bad, plenty of foliage blocking it. A third floor room would see o we the fence though....

The last pics I saw, things weren't looking good. The pics someone put up from last week didn't look any different at all from the pics that were put up a few weeks before that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I've given up. Besides, you can't scrape the goodness fron a lapu lapu pineapple with your fingers crossed.

Re: The quiet pool reno... Tikiman posted on facebook yesterday that it didn't look like the quiet pool was getting a zero entry after all. He was planning on posting more info this week, so while not confirmed maybe there is some hope of it reopening soon and in all of it's original glory!

Good Morning All!!!

So my family and I are big Poly lovers!! I was lucky enough to get a 40% off pin in the winter (it expired the end of Feb). Not sure if we were able to do our usual end of AUgust Disney trip, I didn't tell the kids, but me and DH decided to book a room with the discount since we could cancel and might as well take advantage of the discount if we ended up going this summer. For a change of pace, we booked CL at the YC. It looks beautiful. and for the most part got great reviews. We have stayed at AKL, and WL a few times on past trips.. but once we stayed at POLY, we haven't stayed anywhere else since. Besides, I figured... its still Disney, and still a Deluxe right? I kept having a nagging feeling... will I be happy anywhere but the Poly? I drove my poor DH crazy.. should I change the reservation, I asked him more times than I can count. He always replies the same... do whatever makes you happy!! Finally, I call and there are no rooms available in the category I want, for the dates I have booked with that discount offer. I say this is Karma.. we should try a new resort in the Epcot area for a change. My kids overhear me talikng to a friend and mentioning that we may go back to Disney this summer. My son tells me... my favorite place is the POLY.. I really want to go there again. I call again.. nothing available. I ask the CMr to check 2 days before my original date... nothing. THen I ask the CM to check the day after my current date and ding ding ding.. we have a winner!! No more calls please!!! Got the CL at POLY with the discount!!!!! All feels right with the world now!!! I am now so looking forward to that happy feeling I get when I am at the POLY!!!

Dizneechic: Ah, like we all suspected from looking at those pics with the stairs still intact. I have to admit -- in a purely selfish way -- I'm glad they're not doing zero entry as it might turn the quiet pool into the not-so-quiet pool. We really enjoyed our swim time there with the kiddo last year.

Yippee!! I don't really care either way about the zero entry - but now I have renewed hope that maybe it will reopen before May 7! DOn't want to get my hopes up too high though

Taking a little break in the room and thought I'd update with a few pictures. This morning my daughter and I went to Animal Kingdom at opening - did well, Expedition Everest, Safari, Dinosaur, both jungle treks, snack and shopping all by 10:30! My husband and son went to Magic Kingdom did Space, Pirates, Presidents and Laugh Floor. I had to come back and rest after Everest. Then we hit the Spa at the Grand Floridian. Fabulous! Here come some photos.

Quiet Pool - there is ONE man working in there today with some sort of drill around the edge of the pool, can't tell what he is doing....and I stared!
