has anyone used a car service from the airport to the Poly? if so what your experience?

OK, so I spilled the beans:banana: to my DD 5....I just had to give her something happy to think about after her sister, 16 months, bit her the other day :sad2:

So she now knows we are going to WDW next week!!! party:

I showed her the volcano slide and she said she wants her daddy to go with her....Is that even possible? He's a big guy 6 ft 240lbs....will he be able to take her down???

Rain Rain GO AWAY!!!!:cloud9:

Sadly, no--only one person at a time--no double sliders. :sad2:

We always use a car service and love using them! We get the grocery stop to pick up some adult beverages or whatever else strikes our fancy. We've used quite a few different services, but the same one for the past maybe four years. :thumbsup2

We've used a car service a few times and have had excellent service every time. Not a fan of Magical Express, although will use it for an adult girls trip in December b/c 3 of us may not be able to arrive for times close enough for a car service.

It is very nice to see your name, wait will the driver collects the luggage(we point it out) and then ride in comfort and directly to the Polynesian or other resort.

We use a car service as well-- much quicker than going the Magic Express route, I think. Last year I think we used Tiffany, the year before we used Carey Car.

:rotfl2: I was wondering how long you could keep that a secret! I could not have kept it for as long as you did. Have a wonderful trip!!! Better get packin'!!

We're using Tiffany's for car service next week. My husband didn't want to use ME especially with the 3 little ones. Too much extra stress. Plus we'll stop at the grocery store to pick up some beer and wine and juice pouches and snacks for the little ones.

Staying at the Poly for the first time this July. Can somone suggest a longhouse to request? My only criteria is a balcony. There are 5 of us so maybe a room with the extra square footage would be better?:confused3 I just have a GV room booked. Keeping fingers crossed for a decent view.
TIA:lovestruc

We like Tahiti. Granted I've only been once  They all have balconies on both the 2ed and 3rd floor....Plus it was close to the TTC....which we liked!

I am leaving in 10 sleeps (if I have to count tonight!) Is anyone else going then????? I have dreamed of staying at the Poly and this is my lucky 13th trip!! I can't wait!

okay peeps...I am down to 11 days to my first Poly stay!

Here's a question I'm sure is answered here somewhere, but...is the music from Wishes piped in or audible from the beach? Worth it to go into park one nite to witness in person from MK? We've been there pre-Wishes to see Tink fly...anything really fab we won't get from the beach?:worship:

Thanks for all your great information. We are using a car service this october. Stopping at a grocery store sounds like a good idea. Do you have to arrange it beforehand or can you just ask to stop and also where is a good place to stop? Thanks!

Six more sleeps for us - I can't believe it. It seemed so long away when we booked 3 1/2 months ago (I hear you people who book 9 months or more out laughing).

Wow, a bunch of people are heading out soon! So exciting! Have a magical trip everyone and take lots of pics!

As an above poster mentioned, no riding double down the slide. I think she'll be fine, however. Our first trip our DS was almost 5 (about a week away!) and he LOVED it. DD (just barely 3) was more cautious, did it a few times, but kind of got flipped around, didn't care for it as much. By second trip, she was barely 5 and also fell in LOVE!! Probably the best approach to help her get comfortable: Have one of you at the top with her, and one waiting on the bottom. The lifeguards do let you wait fairly near the slide exit and move forward and help your child as needed - just back away quickly before the next person comes down. Also, for our first trip, both kids wore their vests from home (Speedo). Second trip both good swimmers, DS did not wear a vest. DD did, I think that current as you come out can be a bit overwhelming, so we just felt better with it on, even though she could swim. You can get a vest at the marina and keep it all trip - we did this last time. The vest may help her feel more secure. Oh, and there's a traffic light at the top that turns green when it's OK to go - my kids loved that!

I am officially beginning to panick. :scared::scared::scared: The trip is only two weeks away, and I feel like I am not ready. Yes, I am ready to be on vacation but i still have items on my list that i have not checked off on my packing list.

I am acting like a crazy person,I know! Does anyone else get anxiety as the departure date to WDW gets closer? I know this will be the trip of our WDW dreams, and it is our first stay the the Poly, but I am beginning to feel overwhelmed with excitement and apprehension. Crazy, huh?!

Forgive me if this has been asked. I have tried sifting through many pages. Are the only CL rooms those in Hawaii? And are all LV also CL or would it state CL specifically?

Thanks

The only CL rooms outside of Hawaii are the suites (to my limited ;) knowledge). Not all LV (or TPV for that matter, which is the price point above LV) are CL. It would say "Club Level" on the room description.

Hi everyone!

I couldn't stay away from the Poly. I've booked again for July with my three boys. (DH will not be able to join us on this trip:guilty:) I actually need to add one more night on to our reservation, but I'm really torn between GV or Theme park view or even GVCL. LVCL is just too much additional money for our shorter stay. I wish I could guarantee which longhouse in GV we'd be put in-- that would solve all my indecision!

Anyway, I can't wait to go back! :thumbsup2
