Can you actually request a longhouse and floor with the online check-in? I can't seem to see it. I just realized I could have done this over a week ago. I can still blame it on being a first timer.

No, you can't make room requests with the online check-in. You either need to phone CRO or fax the request to the resort.
Have a great trip!

Does anyone have that number by chance? Is it too late to call tonight since we will be there tomorrow?

Not sure if it is too late or not (I don't know when the room assignments are made) but it's worth a try.
The CRO phone number is 407-939-6244.
The Poly fax number is 407-824-3174.
Good luck! Again, have a great trip! :wizard:

Reservations made! We are letting the little girl be the decision maker-- it is Disney, after all!

Just made our reservations for next January-- Poly TPV-- requested Tahiti 1st floor. :) Yippee!

Thank you,I did write them a e mail yesterday about some of the issues and told them I was NOT looking for any type of refund but wanted to share my concerns.I got a call about 30 minutes ago from a very nice lady that INSISTED on refunding two of our nights and would not take no for a answer and said to just put it on our room that we have booked for Dec at AKL!:wizard: She said it is a GIANT nono for anyone to enter your room while the sign is out period.I have to say they have the BEST CS at wdw if they are in the wrong in any way.I told her that we had a great trip anyway and of course they would still get our money in Dec haha as a matter of fact they will make their money back 3 x over!

That's great news! I love WDW's customer service. :goodvibes

I am so glad that the CM was able to make things right with you. We were very pleased with the AKL manager when we had a problem with our room. I am so excited to stay at the Poly, time just can't go quickly enough!

Great thread. The family and I were there this past December and will be there again this October...cant wait!

I wish it was December NOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

OK, sorry, just have to do that every once in a while. Back to your regularly scheduled Polyness.

Hey everyone;), just switched my pop/akl kidandi, to the Poly. Booked a GV room and wanted to get opinions on what room location to request. We have never stayed at the Poly and I am hoping I made the right choice. It will be me, DH, and 3 boys 10 and 9. I know we are sacrificing space from the 1 bedroom at Kidani but the location and transportaion can't be beat. Plus the food options at the Poly are more appealing to us. I guess I just need a little convincing.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 You made the right choice! It is a great resort. My recommendation for you is to ask for a first floor room. We were there with three kids (6, 9, 12) and asked for a first floor room at Samoa. We ended up facing the quiet pool and had the patio. This made it easy for the kids to go outside and play so space wasn't that big of a deal. They loved to see the ducks come up to our patio door. It was really convenient to both pools, Captain Cooks etc. Our kids loved the Poly so there was no question as to where we would stay on our trip this summer.:goodvibes

Yea! November hours are out so I can start planning. :cool1:

Now I just need to wait for some other random info release such as Osbourn Lights. Once I get all that info I can work on ADR requests

Of course airfare is still higher than I like but has not budged in a month. I like to have the tickets bought because it just feels more solidified with airfare  I am waiting until SW releases fares for Novemeber even though I have never flown them. We will see :rolleyes1

Happy Travels to everyone going! :wizard: And everyone else, it will be here before you know it and we will all be back on here :sad1: with Post Poly Depression Syndrome! :headache: I don't even want to think about it!

Happy day :flower3:

Thanks everyone for your replies:thumbsup2. I was feeling a little nervous about my switch cause I was concerned about the space. After reading all the posts and looking at the pics I am feeling much better. Poly was never one of my top choices and then I found a great rate so I decided to try it. In more than 10 trips we have never stayed on the monorail line, so this is a real treat. I usually never make room requests and have always been happy with the room we received, so I wasn't planning on making a request. I figure I would just take my chances and see what we get. Do you think this is a good idea? We just have a garden view room booked.:goodvibes

I am with you on wanting to go now. You would think since I decided our trip would be Dec 2010 back in March of 2009, that I would be glad how close things really are, but no I want to go NOW!

I don't want to think about PPDS either especially since we haven't even made it to the Poly yet.:rotfl:
