I also received a call from Ms. Marwan after I emailed guest services. She also told me the vanilla soft serve was coming back. She thanked me for letting them know what a disappointment it was to have that item removed from the menu. She said that they had received a number of complaints.

Perhaps vanilla soft serve will reappear in the future.

A few years ago our family friend recommended the cinnamon roll. Now, we were Disney vets - we knew everything! EXCEPT about the cinnamon roll. We had one Christmas morning and fell in love! We found a new ritual! Every Christmas morning we vowed to have a cinnamon roll. Well, MSB closed that year and our cinnamon roll "tradition" is forever capped at 1.

I guess this marks the end of my dole whip during the electrical parade tradition. I guess I'll be gorging myself with a sundae instead.

I would not curb my enthusiasm. I have no reason to. If it wasn't a permanent change then it was up to us to find that out and we did. What a negative spirit you are.

I see above that someone else has spoken with Ms. Marwan! Great going guys.
Someone posted in this thread that these effort would be fruitless. Not only have they not been fruitless... but the positive response has been rather swift.

This is the customer service that makes Disney tops.

Forgive my skepticism, but I'll believe it when I see it. I've had too many representatives on the phone at WDW tell me that something's going to happen, and I'm still waiting. Next time I'll be at WDW is for the F&W-a return by then would make me happy.

No. The Dole Whip is a choice of pineapple or vanilla. Apparently they don't offer a choice to swirl the flavors any more. You can still get a Dole Whip and a Dole Whip float.

I don't think Disney releases what is the most popular. I never got the sense that the swirl was the most popular. People seem to generally talk about a Dole Whip not the specific way they order it.

I know everyone I have ever seen order gets the pineapple.

I have had the dole whip float with pineapple on pineapple juice. I had just worked myself up over having the vanilla float. I am pretty bummed about it too. Hopefully it will be back by the time I go during summer. I will need something cold to satisfy those hot days!
