I'll tell you what....there are people out there with way, WAY too much time on their hands.
Have you check out that site, in it's entirety?
I found this little article of interest;
THE PHOENIX PROJECT
Big Bang experts risk destroying the world
A NUCLEAR ACCELERATOR BUILT TO REPLICATE THE BIG BANG, THE MASSIVE EXPLOSION SAID TO HAVE CREATED OUR UNIVERSE 15 BILLION YEARS AGO, COULD START A CHAIN REACTION THAT COULD DESTROY THE PLANET.
Scientists fear the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) could create a BLACK HOLE that might devour the earth. While acknowledging the risk of disaster are 'very small', not even the greatest minds of the international scientific community have been able to rule them out with certainty. Now, after eight years of planning and a successful test-firing last Friday, experts at the £350 million project on Long Island, New York State, are facing the possibility they have created a monster that is too dangerous to be used. The first nuclear collisions were scheduled to take place this autumn, building up to full power around the millenium. Now a committee of physicists has been set up to investigate the potential damage if the experiments were to go disastrously wrong. Some scientists fear that if a mini black hole could be created on the earth, it would fall towards the centre of the planet, absorbing matter on the way and destroying our world within minutes. The tests involve smashing together ions to generate tiny fireballs of super-dense matter.
