...spent the good part of the afternoon at the emergency room. My oldest DS was in the garage and a very large metal pulley fell on his head and split his head open! He had to get 7 staples in his head....
Kimmar, so sorry for everything going on for you lately. How's your son doing? Did they give him pain meds?
....the doctor shot the area with something to numb it so he could really irrigate the whole area and then put in the staples.....it's worn off now, so he is very sore. Plus, the pulley hit his ear so that hurts too, along with another smaller gash that he got [no stitches for that one though]. His arm is gonna be sore tomorrow because they gave him a tetanus shot too...
Oh no, hope he recovers quickly.Sounds very painful.
The 'bets are a bunch of sickos. Poor V spent her birthday covered in snot, running a fever.
Good morning all.
Kimmar, I hope your son is doing better. I'm starting to get nervous about the injections I will endure for my eye surgery in January. You'd think that with my medical history I would be used to it but injections still freak me out.
Thanks again everyone for your kind thoughts. My friend's father died on Friday, 3 days after he committed suicide, of a heart attack/stroke. Please keep this family in your thoughts as this is a terrible time for them. My friend has young children and my hearts breaks for them most of all. We were all going to be in Disney together in 2 weeks. This is probably going to be the saddest vacation I've ever taken. Some of the family is still going, as am I, but I have no idea how it's going to be.
I've still got my terrible situation at work. Since it's got severe legal consequences I can't talk of it but let's just say that this will probably be my last hoorah. It's time to imagine myself laying in some warm sand on a beach somewhere with a fruity drink.
Pakey, what did I miss? What eye surgery?
I wish there were something I could do for you. So much going on all at once.
You and Kimmar seem to have the worst news lately.for you both.
I'm having eye lift surgery on Jan 9th. So I can see again. And wear contacts again. And hopefully look 10 years younger.![]()
Good for you! Just glad it's not a medical issue causing the surgery. I was scared. And I have to say, I think you already look young.![]()
