From what info and pictures I have found, it seems that the All Star Sports and All Star Music rooms have been refurbed. Have the Movies rooms been done as well? If not, does anyone know when this may happen?

Don't know but wanted to say I've stayed at ASMo many times and always had nice rooms. We stayed at Movies last July 2006 in a room in Toy Story section and the room looked brand new. I'm not sure if it had been refurbished or what but it looked great.

Isn't it funny, ASMo used to book up first at the values but it was the only value available when I was looking for days for this Jan.!

Many years ago, I think 1999, I stayed 1 night at ASMu and the room was very bad (walls, floors) bedding was threadbare. I wrote to Disney about it and an executive housekeeper called me. She said the room was due to be taken out of service..I was surprised that ASMu and ASMo could be so different...she also said they had gained experience with Values and used better longer lasting materials when Movies was built. I finally took a chance and stayed at ASMu again last year and the (new!) room was very nice.

Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2 I'm just trying to steer my neighbor in the right direction. I've only stayed at the BCV, but personally I think all of the All star rooms look fine. I'm thinking she would probably like the newer rooms because they look a little more subdued. Oh and she's never been to DW before so I'm trying to narrow it down for her first because she doesn't even know how many hotels there are to choose from.

The ASMo were the last of the 3 values to be refurbished with family suites. Toy Story section was overhauled a few years ago but I can't remember any of the other sections being "under construction" (we go every June/July). The main pool was rehabbed in the last couple years so ASMo should be ready for whatever you want! We love it :thumbsup2 I'm surprising my family with connecting rooms this trip because the kitchen in the family suite didn't make sense for us. After all, I DONT DO cooking on my vacation:laughing:We stay in the mighty ducks section and enjoy the heck out of itpopcorn:: :surfweb: :cool2: princess:
