Seems like the rehab is being done in stages/phases. Does anyone know when ALL of it will be completed?? It'll be a few months before our trip but like all of you, I'm concerned about the construction affecting it. Will someone who is scheduled to go soon, be able to find out for the rest of us? Thanks a bunch!
Well, we just got home an hour ago from ASMusic! The rehab is nothing more than a pain-in-the-you-know-what!! Nothing major, just annoying. We were there from the 20th to this morning & they had closed off the hallway leading from the check in to the restaurant which meant you had to walk around the outside of the building which was annoying, especially when raining, which was most of the last the twelve days!!
Washrooms in the check in area were open btw but they were not always very well cleaned.
After reading some reviews of this resort i'm a little wary. I hear there are a lot of bed bugs and mold. I don't think I can handle that
No bed bugs or mold....though I was surprised to hear that it was relatively newly renovated as it appeared a little "dated" to me. I did see quite a few new matresses being brought in to our area on two different days as well so I don't know if that means anything.
I personally did not really like ASMusic....it was OK....housekeeping was OK...check in day found a pubic hair on the floor of the bathroom...kind of a turn off! Beds were made, sink, toilet, bathtub wiped down daily but not much else. A couple of days they forget to leave us soap & shampoo...I mean NONE! We did get two towel animals though & extra towels were left when requested.
I found the walkways dirty as well as the door leading to our hotel room...filthy! Our area was painted light blue & baby pink so finger prints & dirt really stood out.
I had small problems with a check-in CM; a person at Conceirage & a person at baggage/flight check in this morning...all with inaccurate information...I think ASMusic might want to better train some of their employees so as not to mis-lead their guests or waste their time. Of course, we were there twelve days...you are bound to run into some employees who might not care or who are new to the motel.
We bought the refillable cup & felt we got our money out of it but it is discouraging when you see LOTS of other people re-fill whatever they decide to bring with them! I guess next time I'll just bring a coffee mug from home & save me another $14 per person.
The buses are pretty bad. We waited for three buses at Pleasure Island because they all arrived full & could not take on any more passangers (why come than?). We stood up about 1/2 the time on our rides & the other 1/2 we braved the stares of those unfortunate souls who had to stand while we sat!! Yuck!
There were a lot of young (high school) teams there...basketball, cheerleaders, etc...but really, they were very good (though they may not have been in my section!)
I never heard my neighbors but you do hear toilet flushings in the middle of the night from upstairs!! That & sinks running...really bad! If you are a light sleeper, it will probably keep you awake much of the night.
It is a value...dont' expect too much. We did decide to book the bounce back but will give either POP a try next year or go back to CSR which is our favorite!
