Hi,

Staying on site at All Star Movies in August and I was just wondering if anyone has stayed there before and if they could give us any tips.
Anything at all! Maybe just ways to make the most out of our stay.............oh by the way, weve never stayed on site before!!!!

Thanks,
:wave2:

We stayed at ASMo in March 2004. It was our first trip to WDW and we loved the resort. Our DS was a big Toy Story fan and we were lucky enough to stay in the Toy Story section.

The rooms are pretty much your standard hotel room but the theming around the resort and in the rooms is great. I would not pay the extra for the preferred rooms because I don't think you will find them much different or much closer that the regular rooms.

Most people seemed to use the Fantasia pool but the Mighty Ducks pool was a good spot as well (much quieter and not as big as the pictures make it look to be).

The food court was what you would expect for a food court but we had no problems with lines or anything like that. The buses were fairly quick with the exception of the Downtown Disney buses.

If you have any other questions, pease ask and I will be happy to try and answer them.

wow, thats really helped, thankyou!

If i can think of anything else to ask then i will do! Thanks again!

Hi there!

I'm going to move this over to the Disney Resorts Board. Please check there for further responses.

We stayed there for the first time in Nov. and we're staying there again in Sept. We loved it!! We requested the Toy Story building also, standard room. That one or Dalmations are closest to food court and buses. The themeing is great and we got a lot of nice pic's of the kids in Andy's toy room. It's a little area just past the pool by the Toy Story building.
The food court was fine for us too. The kids loved the ice cream for a treat after the parks. Dh liked the big plastic beaker thing he got for beer at the Spirits bar. Save the cup and they refill it for $5 I think. Have to check with Dh on that, but I know it saved a few dollars instead of getting another cup. Another couple let us know about it while we were there one night.
And of course, the Fantasia pool was a hit with the kids too.......can't think of anything else right now. :teeth:
