I checked my categories and all of my groceries show up as "other", and the gas shows up as "vehicle expenses". Will they count towards my dollars spent?

This is the first Reward offer I've had in probably 5 years - earn 3X on eligible purchases 7/1/10-9/30/10 after spending $1000 in any single category or combination. I don't want to complain after waiting all this time for an offer - but $1000 will probably not happen for us. Especially since most items will be categorized as "other" when it's all said and done. Mine came as a blue/white card with a kid in a Buzz costume on the outside.

I just got the 3x offer too! I thought Chase had forgotten about me, since this is the first offer I've received since last quarter 2009. I was pleased to see the minimum was $500 too; it seemed like they had been bumping my minimums up each time.

I also got the 3X but i have to spend $750- no thanks! My last offer was awhile back for 5X for every $100 spend in any category. I loved that one but not crazy with having to spend $750 so I'm sticking with my citi bank dividends I have $65 on that one but i'm waiting to get to $100 to request a check

Same here..

I cannot be sure but the airfare on my statement shows up as travel and groceries are showing up with other but our bonus calculated correctly based on a recent statement. You may want to call Chase for official word.

Yesterday we received the 3X on purchases above $750 on dining, airlines, gas, and groceries.

This is the second time we received the offer. We are still on the first offer which was for Mar-Jun for purchases above $1250. We were able to take advantage of the first offer because we purchased our Disney air tickets in May.

I had received the offer for April through June and forgotten to call. I called today and it was added. Does anyone know if it is retroactive for the past three months or if it is just active after you call?

GOt the 3X for $1000 in purchases from July 1-Sept 30 in the mail today. Won't be much good as we're trying to cut back on our spending until our trip in early December.

Well I call and found out that I had to meet my threshold of 750 in the airlines, gas, dining and groceries before any of the rest would kick in for those categories. Forget it, I shop mostly at wal-mart, and I think that vehicle exspenses don't count as gas, so it really is'nt worth it to me for this promo.

I have a 3x promotion for the summer and just noticed on my statement that none of the grocery stores I go to are under the "grocery" category (HEB, Walmart, Kroger). I am still receiving some bonus from gas and dining, but I could be getting a lot more

Unfortunately, you will see this happens alot. I find it very frustrating myself.

I applied for my Disney Visa the beginning of 2008. I received my first and only 5x offer for the summer of 2008. Nothing has been sent to me since then. I've called a few times, and I've been told the same ole same ole story..'we have nothing to do with that, it's marketing and random' etc etc. I get frustrated when I read about people who get multiple bonus offers EACH year while I've had one in two years. And other than that one offer, I've never received any other type of 'offer' from visa except for the 20% off at Disney store - which is no biggie to me. I'm disappointed at their marketing dept for constantly rewarding the same people over and over. Spread the wealth - Disney Visa!

We opened two new accounts this year to take advantage of the $200 gift card offer. We also have a 3rd account (our first disney visa) that we opened 2 years ago.
I'm going to close one of the accounts in my name after cashing in the rewards for park tickets. Should I close the one I've had the longest, or shortest? Which would I more likely get 5x offer on?

We have had the Disney Visa for over a year and never received a promo. In fact, I did not know there were any until I read this.

It is a mailing that is sent on a seperate postcard. You have to be 'selected' and call to activate it. All offers are somewhat different. Sometimes there are categories and minimum spending in the categories before earning any bonus. They usually are for a 3 month timeframe corresponding with an actual quarter of the year Jan 1-Mar 31, etc. The spending month is an actual calender month not your stmt month. (pain to keep track of any bonus esp. when categories are involved) Therefore, there is no place to find it. You can call to see if you have an offer attached to your acct. but you still have to call the special number with a code to activate. I have also received the offer by email at times-same deal. Call or activate online.

I have one last theory of why I may not get bonus offers. All the other CC's are in DH's name as the primary card holder. When I don't use my Disney Visa, I am using one that I am the 'authorized user,' on in his account. So I wonder if I don't get bonus offers because on my credit report they don't see any 'competition' so to speak.
