All questions about 5X Rewards here...

Is it possible to request points to be transferred to a card for the first time, online or do I have to call? I believe I can reload points to the card online, am I correct?

I had gotten the 3x's rewards card awhile ago. Didn't activate it because we had stopped using the card because we hadn't planned on going to Disney any time soon. Well, then we decided to make a last minute trip. So I called and activated the 3xs rewards. I had already made the plane reservations before I activated it. But I noticed that on the card it said I just had to activate the reward code anytime before the end of the earnings period and I would get all the rewards. Well, got my first statement after doing it, and there werent' any additional rewards. How long til I see it? I remember before when I have gotten it, there was never a delay. We leave about four days after my statement closes next month. Would love to have the additional rewards!!

Also...I have a theory on how you get selected. I never got any offer cards for the first three or four years I had my card. But right after the first month where I didn't pay the balance in full...bingo. I got an offer. Maybe they don't like those that pay off their balances! Although I kept getting them after I paid my balance off.

It's typically 3 months for the points to be seen on your statement!

The card I got says it takes six to eight weeks from the time of purchase for the bonus points to show up on your account. Prolly b/c they give 4 weeks before calculating the bonus for each calendar month so that they catch all the charges for that month. And then dont show up until the next billing period has ended.

Bonus offers are postcards sent in your snail mail. Not everyone gets them. And even if you do get one it may not be the same as someone else. We have two disney visa cards. My husbands card got a different offer from mine for the current bonus. My offer was actually better so we are putting most of our charges on that card.

How lucky though that you BOTH got an offer. I've had my Disney card for going on 3 years and only ONE offer EVER.

Well, I always pay my bal. in full each month. The only time I do have a balance is when it's at Zero interest, which actually is worse for the CC company. I did receive the 3 times offer for this quarter, but it's over $500/month on the 4 categories and I won't make it, with a limit of $100 bonus dollars. The best offer I've had was 5 times and $250 threshold but NO categories -it was for all purchases and I had it Oct-Dec 2009-also with a $200 limit on the bonus dollars. I do have to say I did chage everything I could to get the bonus!

Ok...since it says dining is included in the 3xs rewards...does that mean that if i use my Disney Visa at WDW restaurants, that I will get the rewards? Or does it just show up as WDW in general?

Mine was $ 750.00 5X. Last month, the Visa bill was $ 3,200 and got 31 points and reward 2 bonus points reward. The month before reaching only four bonus points. Everything here is in the category other and does not count.

I have not used my Disney Visa in a while and I want to start using it to earn reward points for my upcoming trip.

So I called Chase to see if there was a bonus reward offer attached to my account.

The customer service rep checked my account and said "there are no offers on your account or in your area."

I thought that was interested. It sounds like they send the offers to people in a certain area.

Who knows.. In all my times that I have had the 5times offer I don't ever recall them doing anything other than put the bonus on the stmt. I did have the 3 times this past 3 months, but I didn't qualify since my threshold was $500/month on 4 categories. In the past, I've had lower thresholds and even no categories (all purchases earned bonus) Maybe things changed now. You should be able to calculate whether you received 3 or 5 times bonus. (actully the bonus is 2 or 4 times since the regular Disney Dollars are earned as usual) The bonus portion is on the actual month not stmt month.

Anyone receive an offer for Oct-Dec? just wondering. Seems like these offers are becoming few and far between plus lowering bonus and upping the threshold. I had a 3 xs offer for July to Sept but a 500 threshold and 4 categories. No bonus for me on that offer.

department stores!?!?!? I wonder if Target and Walmart count? In the past I wouldn't get credit for some groceries since I bought them at a Super Walmart.

I stopped using mine a couple months ago. Maybe a week ago I got a flier in the mail 'reminding' me of the benefits of my Disney Visa. I think it's going away after our next trip.

Sometimes it says other online, but if you call it will say grocery. I had that happen for some grocery stores in NJ on previous offers.
