All over but the crying

Our family has just returned from 6 nights at WDW. It was truly magical--as you all said it would be. Those 6 nights seemed like 6 hours!

There are so many highlights to share that I really don't know where to begin. First off, our accommodations were superb at the Contemporary Tower. We had a fabulous view of the MK and NOISE WAS NOT AN ISSUE as I had feared (Hint: If you like it quieter, ask for a room on the opposite end of Chef Mickey's). The convenience to monorails and the MK made it very nice.

I can't say enough about the great advice all of you gave me--it really paid off. As you suggested, our first night featured dinner at Chef Mickey's--what a blast! We were on a Disney high from that moment on!

I'm also thankful for the advice about taking advantage of EE. We did it 3 out of 5 days and boy does it make a difference! On Saturday, my kids got 2 Dumbo rides, 2 Winnie the Pooh rides and Peter Pan's Flight all before our 8 a.m. breakfast at Cindy's!

I also can't say enough about the INCREDIBLE ADVANTAGE FASTPASS gives you. FASTPASS quickly became our best friend at the parks. While others plodded through 45-60 minute waits, we breezed by them time and time again on all the major attractions. The baby swap feature was also a huge advantage.

The kids had so much fun meeting all the characters--they ended up with about 30 autographs. We have so many great pictures and video of our trip--I can't wait to see it.

We followed the Unofficial Guide's touring plans with great success--it really took the guesswork out of everything. And I found their advice to be right on the money. The only thing I will say is that when it was all over, I felt like we DID Disney--next time I want to EXPERIENCE Disney. It was just so hard to soak it all in because we were on the move so much.

It was tough to leave--I can assure you that many tears were shed on our last night and morning there. We have vowed to go back, but we'll probably have to wait 5 years! That will be tough!

Anyway, thanks again for your great advice and encouragement--it really made a HUGE difference for us! Take care, all!

they have been a big boost to me too.......thanks again.......

Thank you so much for sharing.

I hope you get to go back sooner than expected.

I kind of got choked up at that part!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I can understand your tears. We are going in november for our first ever trip and I keep thinking, it will be years before we go back. That is going to be a short week. I am almost dreading the trip getting here, because I know it will be over before we know it! Over a year of planning and saving for 7 short days!!!

What a great trip! Congratulations on your 100th Post!!!

glad you had a great trip. I have also learned so many great things from the wonderful people on this board. here's hoping that you con't have to wait 5 years to get back!

Fargoman2,

Glad to hear you had a great trip. We (DD and I) leave on Aug. 25 and I can't wait. This time, as you said, I want to "experience" new things. Hope the great rates on mousesavers can help you get back to WDW sooner!
