Well, ladies -- I survived the in-laws 50th anniversary party yesterday and I'm happy to report there was no bloodshed. LOL! It turned out very well but boy am I glad it's over!! Here's a link to the announcement that was in today's Houston Chronicle:

I still haven't watched Friday's episode yet. Hopefully now that the event of the season is over I can get back to my regular schedule of watching AMC every day.

<b>Ripa Reportedly Mulling A Leave From AMC</b>

According to Internet chatter, Kelly Ripa (Hayley Vaughan Santos) will exit All My Children when her contact expires later this year.

Officially, a show spokesperson declined to comment on the rumors, stating that it is not policy to discuss rumors or contracts.

This is not the first time that Ripa' status with All My Children has been in doubt. In May 1999, amid reports that her perpetual frontburner status was beginning to take a toll, reports surfaced that Ripa wanted out of her contact. Then a new mom, Ripa reportedly was able to convince show executives to cut her work load slightly.

Now, however, Ripa's work schedule is more hectic than ever before. In addition to her work on All My Children, Ripa serves as co-host and side kick to Regis Philbin on the nationally syndicated "Live! With Regis and Kelly" morning program. Ripa can also be seen in commercials for hair care products and a line of flavored water.

Ripa's on and off-screen husband, Mark Consuelos (Mateo Santos) recently took a leave from the show so that he could film a part in a motion picture. Consuelos is expected to be missing from AMC for approximately three months.

Ripa is one of All My Children's veteran performers, having joined the show in November 1990.

Thanks for the Spoilers! I kind of figured that Kelly will be getting off of AMC sometime, due to the fact, that she is hardly ever ON! They both will probably leave, and they will either replace them, or write them out of the show, like DITZIE! Don't expect her to show up at SSW, she didn't last year, Christine.

I don't want to say too much for those of you who will watch today's show tonight....but it is something in the spoilers. I need an AMC expert to tell me where in the world did the ending with Maria today come from?? I'm at a loss to figure out what could possibly be happening. (But that's nothing new)

That article on Ripa is dated 7/21. Around that time she was talking on Regis about how she's negotiating. The ever reliable Enquirer (or was it Star?) today I looked at in line said Consuelos is filming in Australia and then went on about how he is so jealous and it causes problems in their marriage. The article brought up the possibility of a split. The tabloids also keep talking about a Regis/Kelly feud. I don't see anything on the show like that but they insist they don't get along. It went on to say that Regis & Kelly are both negotiating their LIVE contracts, Kelly will get a raise and Regis will take a cut and that Regis may leave. I take all of this with a grain of salt.

nah, I did not really expcet her too. Not sure who I want to see there now - no Cameron - he would be one to meet!! I hope the girl that plays Kendall wont be there but she probably will.

Ripa was just back from having the baby and was going to WDW with Regis in early December.....maybe she'll show this year at SSW.

David got a phone call from a "former patient" at one of the functions surrounding Leo/Greenlee's wedding (maybe the rehearsal dinner?) that took him away from the festivities. There has been speculation on the PVB boards since then that it was Maria/Maureen or Ditsie so I guess that's why I wasn't that surprised. After today's show there is some speculation that it has to do with the Proteus storyline - maybe David is Proteus after all.

Am I the only person who doesn't care about either one of these storylines anymore?! The Proteus storyline needed be be over months ago. I was really hoping that it would all be revealed at the wedding. And I hate the way they've brought Eva back onto the show. Now that it appears she will finally be appearing on a more regular basis I just don't care anymore.

Thanks Aprille. I agree about wishing they would wrap up this whole Proteus thing. I'm not getting into this Maria storyline either. Maybe because I missed the time when she was on the show. Too much trouble to figure out why she doesn't know who she is or who Brooke is but she does know David....oh well. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what develops.

On ET they had a quote from Kelly Ripa and a clip from today's Regis & Kelly saying that she intends to play Hayley forever or until they write her off the show. We'll see.....I don't think she's finished negotiations yet.

I would be very Surprised if she was still on the show the end of this year. And, what is this about Anna being PREGGERS???!! Oh, gad, gag me with a spoon! What ever happened to Robin, the DD who has aids, or, did she forget about her? That Petey is SURE a chip off the old block, isn't he? Have to tape tomorrows show, as I will be at work!

How are you all doing? I have to start catching up on everyone's posts!

What a spoiled brat that Petey is! And how come he is so much younger than Jamie (where the heck IS Jamie, these days, anyway?? Brooke and Tad keep running back and forth to Nevada on a moment's notice......do they not care about their mute son??), all of a sudden? Kendall as Petey's nanny - that should be interesting. I don't understand why Palmer would let her take advantage of him like that. Erica is going to blow a fuse when she finds out!

Where has Trey been, lately????

It's so weird to see "Maria" be all mean and obstinate. I guess they wanted to give Eva a chance to do something other than be a goody-goody or cry all the time. I don't get her whole connection to David - maybe she was his patient after her accident and he is "hiding her" the way that he "hid" Ditsie? But why would he pretend that he doesn't know Brooke and tell "Maria" that she has to leave town because her life depends on it? And what about today's coming attractions where another woman tells Tad that SHE is Maureen Gorman??!! What is this - "To Tell The Truth"? "Will the REAL Maureen Gorman please stand up!" I just wish that she would come back to PV already - I can't wait to see what will happen when Mateo and Edmund see her.

Brooke's going off on Tad and telling him that it was his fault that she "lost" Edmund the first time, yesterday, was ridiculous. It was HER choice to be with Tad at that time - he didn't force her into it! I can understand her feelings of desperation, but Tad was awfully nice to fly out there to make sure that she was all right and to help her (and Edmund) out. She didn't need to attack him like that (especially while he is still supposedly grieving for Ditsie) about their past.

Well, now we know for sure that Frank is Mia's son's father. I'm sure that Trey will try to blackmail them both, somehow. I wonder if they're setting him up to be with Simone?

I totally don't care about the Liza and Adam storyline - it's stupid and boring. The two of them are great actors and are playing the scenes really well.......but the scenes, themselves stink! Liza and Adam should just get divorced once and for all so that they could have completely different story lines that don't involve their sparring or "one upping" (with) one another!

OK - I've caught up! I loved those SSW photos that you posted, Christine! They are great!

And again, glad to hear that your in-laws' anniversary party went well, Aprille! Now take some time to relax - you deserve it after all of the work that you put into the party! I'm sure that they loved it!

In addition to all of the things that you all mentioned hearing and reading about the possibility of Kelly Ripa leaving "AMC", I also heard that Mark Consuelos has confirmed that he is not coming back at all! Has anyone else heard this???
