I too a while back thought that Leo would turn out to be Greenlee's sibling. A very sick storyline if that does come true.

It wouldn't be the first time they tried this on AMC. Anybody else remember when Erica got involved with a new music professor in town, Mark Dalton, and then he turned out to be her half brother?

Yep, I remember it. But that relationship was never consummated. They found out before they ever slept together. Way different than the situation we've got with Leo and Greenlee.

NO HOW, NO WAY are they going to make Leo and Greenlee siblings. Roger is not Leo's dad. If he is then someone else would have to be Greenlee's dad. And I absolutely loathe the idea of Jack being Greenlee's dad. (LOTS of speculation of this on the PVB boards the last couple of weeks.) The thought of Jack and Mary making a baby makes me ill. Besides the fact that the "who's my daddy" storylines have been done to death.

Think about it - if Roger was Leo's dad, Vanessa never would have wanted Leo to hook up with Greenlee in the first place. She may be sick but I don't think she's that sick! LOL! Even if she was that sick she eventually wanted them to break up. All she would have had to do was tell Leo who his father was.

Roger is not Leo's dad and I really hope that he IS Greenlee's dad.

I agree, Aprille, I hate when they draaaaaag these storylines out. I suspect that Aidan will ultimately bring Maria back to the Valley Inn, though, to ask Anna's advice about what to do with her, then she'll see David. Then David will get her alone and say "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? I TOLD YOU TO GO FAR AWAY!" And Maria will say "something drew me here". Then David will try to hide her and prevent her from going to Wildwind. Blah blah blah. You're right - it will be at least another several weeks until she encounters someone who remembers her. Can't wait to see what happens when Mateo sees her, much less Edmund! I wonder if Brooke and he will get married, in the interim. I can't believe that they have been engaged for so long and NEVER DISCUSSED where they were planning to live, after they were married. And why is Brooke surprised that Edmund would want to stay in Wildwind? The castle has been in his family for years, and Dimitri is not around to live in it! I just hope that Brooke doesn't sell her house - I like that house! Do you remember when she moved into it with Laura, Jamie, and Pierce?? In the mean time, while I was happy to see Liza beat Adam at his own game, his running off with Colby was just ridiculous. And the fact that she actually believed that he was going to leave her with his mansion? So stupid. They're very good together and their fight yesterday was fun to watch.....but they just need to move on to another storyline for each of them. And where was "Auntie Mia" through all this? I thought that her purpose was to stay in the house and watch Colby or watch Liza and not have a life of her own!

Lisa - I said Maria will be lurking for 3 weeks because I read somewhere that Edmund and Brooke's wedding is going to happen on the 23rd. I figure Maria will show up at the wedding ala Edmund showing up at his own funeral a few years back.

So I think we've got at least 3 weeks of Maria lurking around not bumping into anyone who knows her except, as you pointed out, possibly David who will try to keep her hidden. But there will be tons of close calls like yesterday when Maria arrived at the park right after Edmund and Brooke left.

Ya know, I hated it when Tad came back - the lurking, the near misses with Ditsie - and I love Tad. I hate it even more with Maria because I don't care about the character. Bring her back. Fine. Just do it!!!

I loved the Adam/Liza scenes yesterday too. But Liza was stupid to let Adam abscond with Colby. And good question - where the heck is Mia anyway?!

You know, while I might reach for the Hagaan Daz when I'm under stress, ever notice soap people never eat when stressed out? Especially if they are female. Here's a familiar scenario:
person #1 is very upset.
person#2: You haven't eaten in days. Here, I brought you some pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, juice and coffee all on this cute little tray.
person#1: I'm not hungry.
person#2: *laying cute little tray aside and 6 course breakfast goes to waste* But you have to keep up your strength!
Then person #1 turns her back on person #2 and cute little tray, takes a few steps toward the camera and spills her guts to person #2.
Sound familiar?

Aprille, this is the only "soap board" I visit, but thanks for the link. PVB is VERY tempting. LOL. BTW, I do not sympathize with the character Kendall, mostly because I love Erica. I just happen to like Alicia in the role. She is a refreshing change from Buffy/Kendall IMO.

Is Maggie still staying at David's lodge? I hate her character, so I don't really pay attention to her whereabouts and she teaming up with Tim might make their scenes fastforwardable, but I was thinking of places David would hide Maria. One thing's for sure. You can come to Pine Valley penniless, luggageless, and jobless, but within days or weeks, you will be living in the lap of luxury with a prominent family. I do think Maria did a great job making the luggage theft scene look real.

To Beauty: LOL! Loved your plea for help, but like someone here said, we served our time with Ditsie. Just for the heck of it though, I tuned in to see Miss Ditsie in her new role. Here are the changes I noticed in her new character: she lost the southern accent, her hair is straight and, in Beauty's defense, I must say that she is even more sickening on this soap than she was on AMC. Hee hee.. and I didn't think that was possible.

I'll be rifling thru Trey's drawers if you need me.

Aprille - I didn't know that a date for Edmund and Brooke's wedding had been published.....very interesting.....I was wondering if the wedding was going to happen at all......but of course it will wind up being at Wildwind.....just when Maria finally gets up the nerve to approach the building......and she will inevitably show up there.......I wish that this storyline would move along, too!

Yes, I also noticed that no one eats when stressed on soaps - Tad kept telling Brooke to eat something, that she hadn't eaten in days (in Nevada).......I think that the only person who might possibly grab a bite to eat when stressed would be Opal!

Is JR leaving the show? I know that there was speculation that he might, because he shot a prime time pilot, but I haven't heard anything recently. It occurred to me when JR started threatening to leave, yesterday.

And what is Tim's story? What's the issue with Janet that he's eluded to? Why does he call Amanda " 'Manda-bear", when she's probably like 15 years old, now?! (the old rapid aging syndrome, again!)

When Liza was packing her bag and getting ready to go after Adam and Colby, then Tad showed up, I was waiting for him to say "I'll go with you!" I guess that that's his new purpose - accompanying ex-wives and ex-girlfriends on trips to help them find information regarding their current husbands or fiances! Does that man ever work??? At least they mentioned where Jamie is, yesterday. When Hayley was going on and on about how Tad left JR alone, I kept thinking DOES ANYBODY CARE WHERE JAMIE IS, OR WHETHER HE'S STILL MUTE??!! At least they mentioned that he's supposed to be in camp. I wonder how they will explain why Laura won't be present at Brooke and Edmund's wedding......I kinda miss her.......maybe they will bring her back in a few years.

Great theory about people who show up in PV penniless and luggage-less moving in with prominent families, Tina! Either that, or they wind up at the Pine Cone! I wonder where Maria was supposed to have been calling her friend from - it looked like a hotel, but not the Valley Inn. I was sure that Aidan was going to bring her straight to Anna, and that she would have encountered David there. Even that will probably take weeks. OK - continue resting, Aprille - we'll wake you up when something actually happens!

What do you all think of 'Nessa? Well, they're really giving Marj Dusay a chance to "stretch her acting muscles", giving Vanessa so many personalities! Maybe this is how she will be considered "innocent" for all of the Proteus stuff -she'll say that that was "Vanessa" and that "Vanessa" is dead. And then they'll let her go. It was nice to see her being nice. Hey - did she and Palmer ever get formally divorced? Maybe if 'Nessa is nice, now, Palmer might want her back.....then there could be a love triangle storyline with Opal and 'Nessa and Palmer! And where has Mary been, lately? We haven't seen her since Roger's funeral.

Maria is at the Pine Cone. I was pretty sure yesterday but today they showed her sleeping in the bed and Aidan staring at her (kind of creepy!) so I assume she's in his room.

Love Nessa! I think this may be the way they redeem her too. I'll buy it. I want Marj Dusay to stay on the show!

I miss Mary too! Hope she didn't leave town like Guy did without anyone even knowing.

I read in ABC's Soaps in Depth when David will discover Maria is in PV. I will allow spoiler space for those who don't want to know in advance.

i don't really watch every day, but i keep up on the show via internet...

and what happened to laura? i know she had a heart transplant (gillian's heart ) and that she and leo were married...but she kinda started to go nutso...where'd she go?

Hi, brandie! Welcome to the AMC thread.

We don't know for sure but I would think that David has to know that Maureen is Maria. He's been to the Crystal Ball every year since he landed in PV where a huge picture of her is displayed. How can he not know?!

David arrived in PV a few months after Maria's "death". My theory is that he saved Maria with his miracle drug in it's early stages but it wiped out her memory. He found out who she was and came to PV to investigate. He's keeping her from her family because he used an unapproved drug on her, erased her memory and he doesn't want to lose his medical license. Just my guess.

Laura went away to some place to learn how to deal with her emotions after a transplant because she went nutso. She gained her sanity long enough to realize she needed help.

Today on Regis and Kelly ....they had Mark say hello via computer from Austrialia to Kelly and kids.....I really question anybody that thinks those two are on the outs....the look, and sound very much in love....

I think that Kendall is still living at the Pine Cone, Zurgswife, and she did know Maria, years ago. I think that Aidan lives there, too, but he obviously does not know her. Liza went to NY to find a divorce / child custody lawyer - she didn't want to go to Idaho to hunt down Adam because she figured that he would just take off with Colby anyway. Plus, she had some sort of legal agreement with him that he could not take Colby out of the state without Liza present, so I think that she is going to try to have him arrested.

Mia was totally rude to Marian yesterday, wasn't she? Who the heck does she think she is??!! Marian was right when she told her "I gave you a place to live when you had nowhere else to go". Mia sure is an ungrateful idiot. And selfish, too - I thought that it was nice when Frank came to her and asked her if she would consider helping Simone. The only good thing that Mia did during the entire episode was warn Jake about Trey.

I liked the scene at Myrtle's between her, Frank, and Simone. I love Myrtle and how she always gives people second chances, etc. And I loved the reunion between her and Frank - that was so sweet. I'm actually liking / feeling sorry for Simone, these days. I hope that it works out between her and Frank.

And I love this "new Vanessa", too - I can't wait to hear what 'Nessa has to say to Greenlee, today!

Doesn't it seem like every time Hayley is on screen, she's just waiting for a chance to jump down someone's throat and give them a lecture?? I always loved the character, but lately I've been dreading seeing her on screen. Why can't they give her a nice storyline, again? Or have her go back to work on "The Wave"? She needs something to do besides lecture and talk down to everyone she encounters. Mind you, she's usually right about what she's saying (except when she judged Mia for no solid reason). But she doesn't have to act so high and mighty about it. Like Jake tends to do. I miss Mark Consuelos, but I like this new Mateo - he's always smiling!

And what's going on with Janet? Why did Tim say - I can't remember exactly what he said - but something like "I had to get away from my step-mother" or "If I stayed there, I would kill my step-mother". I guess that things aren't so great between Trevor and Janet? Maybe the reason that that was written into the script (if there are no plans for either Trevor or Janet to return), is that it will somehow serve as a way to eventually bring Amanda to PV.

ITA about Hayley. What a witch! Even Mateo (Mr Hot-under-the-collar himself!) told her to cut Tim some slack yesterday. I understand that she cares about JR and Tim but there are other ways to show you care besides screaming in everyone's face! I'm wondering if they're making the character unlikable on purpose to soften the blow in case Kelly decides to leave when her contract is up. If so, it's working for me!

Tim said something like if he went home he would have to "take out his stepmother". Maybe Janet has gone off the deep end again and he can't stand to be around her. That would be a good reason for getting Amanda away from her.

I enjoyed the scenes at Myrtle's too but I wondered why Frank brought up Rae. Didn't she turn out to be a fraud on another soap? Is she really Myrtle's daughter? Just another reason I hate crossover characters. I'm feeling sorry for Simone too. Poor girl deserves a break. Especially since her father is so hateful to her! No wonder she's so screwed up.

Can't wait for the Nessa/Greenlee scenes today!

Aprille...yes, Rae was found to be a fraud on OLTL.

Hi, Spinning! Welcome to the AMC thread!

Vanessa was only "dead" for half an episode. She came back to life as Leo was bending over to kiss her goodbye. Sorry you missed it. It was hilarious. The doctors can't explain what happened. Personally, I think Dr Dumb@$$ (the one who proclaimed her dead) should have his license revoked. (If I ever need to go to the hospital, please promise not to send me to PV Hospital! LOL!)

When Vanessa woke up she was in a new personality that we haven't seen before - Nessa. This is a kinder, gentler Vanessa. I think this is how they're going to redeem the character. I'll accept whatever they come up with because I want Marj Dusay to stay on the show.

I was howling at the interaction between Petey and Trey today. They are definitely kindred spirits. LOL!

Kendall introduces them after Trey walks up on her and Petey playing poker for money on the park bench...

Trey: Any relation to Palmer Cortland?
Petey: Son and heir.
Trey: Well, then, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Kendall sends Petey for ice cream...

Trey: I like that kid.
Kendall: You would.

When Trey left he said goodbye to Petey and patted him on the head...

Petey: I like that guy but he shouldn't touch the hair.

I like NuPetey. He's a good little actor.

Okay, so now it's Trey's fault that Kendall lost Ryan?!?!?! I thought it was Erica's fault. Sure wish Kendall would make up her mind. It's everyone's fault but hers. UGH! So now she's going to be bunking with Trey. Blech! I can't believe she has been living in her car. What did she do with the money Palmer gave her? I know she told Palmer she was mugged but we all know that's a load of crap. I guess Petey has bilked all her money. LOL!

I didn't get the whole "while we were in Paris" story Nessa told Greenlee about Vanessa and Roger. How long ago was this? When Greenlee was little or just a few years ago or what? I know Nessa said that Roger referred to Greenlee as his little girl but that doesn't necessarily mean she was a child at the time, does it? I'm a bit confused on this one.

It looks like there is hope for Simone after all. She's got Myrtle and Frank on her side now.

Enjoyed the Erica/Bianca scenes.
