I finally saw that Chicken of the Sea commercial with Braden, by the way! It's so funny that they're airing it regularly during "AMC", now, just as his character's name has been brought up, lately!

So great to see Simone in the office, yesterday - hope that she's back for good - she always lightens up the atmosphere! It was also great to see Kendall hug Greenlee and try to show her support.

I also hope that they don't make Ethan "bad" - especially since he's been so nice to Bianca and he's been so good to Kendall. This whole thing with "whomever is head of Cambias Industries will be RUINED, CORRUPTED, and otherwise SCARRED FOR LIFE!" is just ridiculous, and it's getting old, already. I wish that they would just reunite Zach and Ethan and either have them run Cambias together - or not - but just move on to other storylines concerning them. And I REALLY hope that Ethan isn't seriously considering teaming up with Ed-dumb. Ed-dumb is just EVIL, now - I have absolutely no sympathy for him, AT ALL. Can't wait for him to leave the show / for his character to be killed off! I know that that sounds horrible, but I cringe every time he's on the screen, now, the same way that I cringe when Jonathan comes on!

Bianca did an amazing job on the stand, yesterday. I liked how she reiterated that she is NOT forgiving Babe, and explaining why she felt compelled to take the stand at all. But I think that having her do so is true to character for her - even though Bianca was hurt by Babe, I don't think that her conscience would have let her move to Paris without trying to make things as "right" as she could, concerning Ace/James/ Adam III.

I still don't quite "get" how / why Kevin gave in and dropped his custody suit - was Kelly that convincing? Or does he have some other ulterior motive in not pursuing custody of Ace?

So glad to hear that they are doing a proper tribute to Phoebe! And I understand that Bianca's send-off on Thursday is going to be a real tear-jerker!

I still don't quite "get" how / why Kevin gave in and dropped his custody suit - was Kelly that convincing? Or does he have some other ulterior motive in not pursuing custody of Ace?

Kelly has been telling him ever since she found out that what Paul told her about "Ace's" mother wasn't true that she wanted to find her & give the baby back. So she's been working on him for months.

Kevin was just awful for the longest while (wouldn't let Kelly see the baby for more than an hour, wouldn't let her near him, acting like he hated her etc) & then he started being nice about the time they found the baby in NO. He kept saying that he missed her & wanted her there to help raise the baby.

Kevin's adult son, Duke, was helping Kelly find Babe et al & kept telling Kevin that the baby belonged with his mother.

All in all, they've been showing Kevin to be backing down a bit, sympathetic to Babe, etc. I think having Duke take the stand & say what a good father Kevin was (not what he tells him at home, mind you) had impact on Kevin's state of mind as well.

By the time Kelly talked to him this week, I think they all just wore him down & made him see that "it was right." All that to say, from the way all this has been portrayed on OLTL, I don't think Kevin has a hidden agenda. BTW - They all think JR will be a terrible father too.

Jack's sister's name is Catherine Montgomery (AKA "Kit Fischer"). She came to town from Seattle (I think) about 6 or 7 years ago, looking for something or another, and ultimately reuniting with Jack. Jack thought that she had been killed in a boating accident, as a child, and always sort of felt responsible for that. But she'd been living as "Kit Fischer" all those years (amnesia? I can't remember the details) and was fine. Apparently, she had had an affair with Tad, when HE was wandering the country, thinking that he was "Ted Orsini", but when she came to PV, she had a huge crush on Ed-dumb (who was still a nice, sweet guy, then, and was still mourning Maria to the point where he had to let "Kit" down gently and tell her that he wasn't ready to get involved with anyone). One night, she was depressed (probably because Ed-dumb rejected her), so she went to the local roadhouse bar that they always show, to get drunk and drown her sorrows. She encountered Ryan there, who was also getting drunk and drowning his sorrows (probably over something that Gillian did). They started flirting, did a seductive dance together, and then Ryan came on to her. "Kit" said "no" and although Ryan was all drunk and beligerent, he left her alone. When she went out to the parking lot, she encountered a man in a mask (it was Halloween), whom she thought was Ryan, playing around. The man raped her and everyone thought it was Ryan, since she was seen in the bar, flirting and seductively dancing with him, then telling him "NO", very loudly. So Ryan went to jail for awhile, even though he insisted that he didn't touch "Kit". It turned out that Braden was the man in the mask who raped her, and he went to jail, never to be seen or heard from, again. Kit (who - in my opinion - was played by a HORRIBLE, annoying - but very pretty - actress) eventually left PV with Travis, and went to Seattle to live near him and his family and get to know her nieces (including Bianca, who was still living there at the time) and nephew.

A little more on the Kit storyline, the rapist was wearing Ryans mask, and they did a DNA test which showed Ryan was most likely the rapist. Nobody knew Braeden was Ryan's brother at first, but that was how they had DNA evidence against Ryan. Also, Braeden did not go to jail, he knocked Ryan out and took off, never to be seen or heard from again. Jack said the other day, he has been trying to track him down for years.

I'd read that in the spoilers, but still can't believe it. Why didn't they bring evidence as to all the crap JR has pulled? Where was the testimony about his fitness as a parent - or lack thereof?

For a moment I was hoping the judge would place the baby with Kevin & Kelly as a "foster home". Sorry, but I don't get why, with what evidence she did have she didn't follow through on the foster home?

And I loved Opal's comment to Adam: "How'd the squeeze so much rotten into so little skin?"

I hate to admit it but JR didn't do half as many bad things, lately, as Babe. He really was duped by her. Yes he tried to drug her but she just hurt alot more people with what she did. I'm glad she didn't get custody. Those scenes where Tad was cross examined by JR's lawyer were excellent. Tad was not the best father then. I kind of feel sorry for JR, sorta. But darn that baby is so cute. He does look like a Chandler.

Now if only Krystal would go away for good and David too. I love Vincent Irizarry but his character is unredeemable. He needs amnesia or a nice twin to come to town. I was cheering for Jack when he punched him.

What's up with Ed-dumb? He is just icky these days......

Binks' scenes with her mother today were just so sweet. You can tell the actresses really like each other.

Just one more thing.......anyone see the fan favorite on OLTL? She is so unexcited. And why is notsoBachelor Bob hosting this? Can't he get a real job?

Welcome to the AMC thread. JR is Junior Chandler, Adam and Dixie's son. He aged at an incredible rate over the past few years so he is unrecognizable. When he looked like someone else he ran off and joined the merchant marines to get away from Adam and came back with a new wife (and a new face.) That wife was Babe. She had an affair with Jamie (who aged at an even faster rate than JR) on her first night in town and then went to live a 'blissful' married life with JR. We all know that isn't what the Chandlers do best. Anyway, they had a baby together. Babe and Bianca were pregnant at the same time and had their babies at the same time in a cabin in the middle of a flood. Someone from OLTL took Babe's baby to give to his sister (that is the custody hearing now) and gave Babe, Bianca's baby and told Bianca her baby had died in a helicopter crash. As it turns out Babe found out the baby she had was Bianca's a while ago but didn't tell her right away because she still thought her son was dead and didn't want to lose JR. (Is this confusing enough yet) Anyway, Bianca got her daughter back and Babe realizing her baby was alive, kidnapped him from OLTL and was caught bringing you to the custody hearing.

Jonathon is Ryan's creepy, icky brother who has anger management issues. He is rumored to have drugged Greenlee and shot at Ryan but Ryan thinks his brother is a nice guy down deep and is 'saving him.' He hit his girlfriend, Maggie and she finally dumped him.

Ruth is not dead. She is at the infamous medical convention that lasts month and years on end. At least that is what we joke around here. The actress that used to play Ruth has not been on lately so they replaced her with Lee Merriweather. However Lee isn't on all that often any more. Come to think of it neither is Joe. They used to explain Ruth's absence in the past with Joe saying she was at a medical convention. She is alive though, just in very few storylines.

Ruth Martin is still alive, but has been played by a different actress in recent appearances (very infrequent). They usually just say she is "at the hospital" or something.

Thanks rascalmom. I was such an AMC freak before, it took alot to wean myself off it, but now that I have time to watch it again, I really want to. It's just with all the new faces, I'm a bit overwhelmed. When I last tuned in, Dixie just had the baby with Adam and Hayley had just removed her black fright wig. So you can see, it's been awhile.

Dixie "died" in a car srash in Europe - after she ran off because she was pregnant again & figured Tad would give her a hard time because she wasn't supposed to get pregnant. (I forget why, but it was health related.) No body, so she'll probably show up again someday when they give Tad a new lady.

Tad was with Krystal (Babe's, the baby swapper, mother) until he found out that not only did she know that Babe's baby was really Bianca's, but she switched the DNA tests/results so that Babe could keep her. (At the time Babe didn't know about it.)

I don't know about Scott. I wasn't watching then.

They haven't explained Ruth Warrick/Phoebe disappearing yet. The last she was seen was the 25th anniversary episode & she didn't speak. She died shortly after that aired. A bunch of the spoiler/insider sites are reporting that they're working on something big for her memorial.

And Kelly Ripa left about the time she started co-hosting with Regis. She & Mark Consuelos left for Hayley to do a "talk show in California."

BTW - I've dropped in & out of watching AMC for years at a time since Erica was making Tara's life miserable!

Dixie is dead. However they never found her body, so you never know. At the time she died she was pregnant with Tad's daughter. She had left Tad because they were fighting about something. I can't remember what. Stuart's stepson Scott left to either New York or L.A. I think he was going to be a producer or something, but I don't recall. He is 'alive' just not in Pine Valley. Pheobe was on a special episode a few weeks ago but didn't speak. She was in a wheelchair and looked quite feeble. They haven't mentioned her death, yet.

Kelly Ripa left AMC because she wanted to spend more time with her family and said that working on Live! with Regis and Kelly was enough work for her. Then she proceeded to get a prime time show, but hey, good for her. Haley and Mateo left for L.A. because Haley was offered to be on a national television talk show.
