Well ladies I started the first AMC thread over a year ago, on July 18, 2001. That was the time when Gillian died off of the show. Can you believe it has been that long already? We have had some good times on our thread, sharing the funny happenings and the sad ones too. We (well some of us, lol) mourned the departure of hottie Ryan and are currently witnessing Maria come back from the dead. We have become friends and one day I hope to meet you all. I personally am looking forward to going to my first SSW this Novemeber and I hope that next year <b>we all</b> will be there together.

Hey is that Walt Willey's smile I see in that pic??????? Maybe the writers could let Jackson try to do that sometime soon. Yeah, I'm sure it might hurt his face muscles the first few times, since he hasn't done it in ages, but it sure would be nice!!! It's such a wonderful smile.

Glad to see the new thread, and great pics Sunshine! Anyway, on to AMC:

I haven't posted for a while because I was out of town with DH on a business trip. Spent most of yesterday doing laundry and catching up with taped shows of AMC. I knew that Edmund would react the way he did to Brooke's confession. He has always had a hot temper, and this was sure to set if off. All through this storyline, I have not felt sorry for Brooke, but I must admit to feeling sorry for her when Edmund was raging at her and casting her aside to go look for Maria.

I don't usually like the little musical numbers with no dialogue that they occasionally do on AMC, but the Leo and Greenlee honeymoon piece was an exception. Especially liked the scene where they squirted each other with the water bottles. Rebecca Buddig looked genuinely surprised, so I wondered if that was an improve on the part of the actor who plays Leo (Josh something).

Hope Edmund gets to see Maria soon, but I don't think it will happen today. Something as earth shaking as that will probably be shown in the previews.

Sherry - I wish you could go to SSW this year too!

Erika - You're right - we haven't seen Jack's smile in far too long. It would probably crack his face. LOL!

MaryJ - I loved the Leo/Greenlee honeymoon flashbacks too and I don't usually care for the montages either. I think you're right about the water-squirting scene being off the cuff. My favorite part was Leo with the daisy behind his ear and the goofy look on his face.

My prediction for Edmund and Maria coming face to face is Tuesday at the earliest. Monday is a holiday and holiday episodes are notorious for being very slow as far as plot developments go. It definitely ain't gonna happen today.

Thanks so much for starting this new thread, Christine, and for starting the original! I love speaking with you all about AMC, every day! You are all wonderful! And thanks for the great photos, too, Christine!

And Aprille - thanks for the link to that map! I have always wanted to see a map of PV - or make one myself - but I'm too lazy! That was really neat - thanks for posting the link!

I also liked Leo and Greenlee's honeymoon footage - they just seem so natural together, don't they? It's almost hard to believe that they are not a couple in real life, since they play so well off of eachother and have such good chemistry.

I felt so badly for Brooke when Edmund was condemning her, yesterday. I also suspected that he would react that way. I think that Brooke is a good person for offering to help him, even after he spoke to him that way, and for standing there and taking his abuse. I hope that she doesn't attempt suicide, now, or something. I hope that Tad takes care of her.

The thing with Liza and David is so stupid. Blackmail on top of blackmail. Is Liza ever involved in a storyline that doesn't concern a secret plot or blackmail??? zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thank you for this thread! I can't believe it has been around a year already!

Taping AMC and watching in the middle of the night when I'm up with the baby is GREAT for me. Keeps me from falling asleep before the baby does!

Loved the scene with Anna and Jackson today. Maybe Jack will get a storyline this decade!

Dr. Dave--in tears--never thought I'd see the day.

Trey/Ben and Leo hugging....that was interesting.

And finally Kendall finds Maria. That snooping of hers finally is paying off! (Loved her shirt today).

O.K., I've been meaning to ask this question to you AMC people. I just watched it the other day for the first time in a long time, and I have to know.

What is the deal with Maria? How is it that she is back? I thought she was killed? (of course, I know this means nothing in soap opera world!)

And whats up with Kendall? I'm so used to Sarah Michelle Gellar in that role. Is this new Kendall a meanie like the old Kendall, or have they made her nice now?

Uh, no - Kendall has not been made nice. Far from it. If possible, she's even more unlikeable than she was before.

You haven't really missed it. Maria has been lurking for weeks. The only people she has come into contact with who knew her from the past are Brooke, Tad and Maddie.

We don't know the whole story yet but it looks like the theory I came up with weeks ago is true. David found Maria after the plane crash. (true) She was near death. (true) He used his experimental drug on her (true) and saved her life but wiped out her memory. (not revealed yet) He didn't know who she was until he arrived in PV and attended the first Crystal Ball where he saw a photo of her. (true) He has been keeping her from her family to cover his butt - not wanting to lose his medical license for using an unapproved drug on her and erasing her memory. (not revealed yet)

Aprille, thaks for the D. Canary links. What was said about the loss of Adam & Lisa's first child is not true. The miscarriage was ultimately not caused by the rough airplane flight, but by the fact that Lisa had contracted "5th disease" which infected the fetus and caused the miscarriage.


Where did David find the missing Maria after the plane crash? There would have been numerous news reports about the crash and the search for her body? He would've had to know who she was! And where was he treating her? She was near death, didn't he have in a hospital? No one questioned who she was?

We don't know. They just showed him burying something on a beach (why would anyone bury something on a beach?!) and an injured Maria came crawling onto the scene. The plane was in route from NY to PV. David was supposedly in California before he came to PV. All we know is it was a beach.
