All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

I'll be seeing that show one week from today:cool1::cool1:

And, seeing Fantasmic for the first time. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love your pictures - priceless as always.

I know for sure I will be going in June for my sister's graduation. I could've went in March (to Miami) for my own graduation but I decided to pass on that since I didn't have the traditional college experience anyways.

I just watched Beauty and the Beast (Live show) on Youtube. I loved your rendition of show. I also wish there were more shows like this.

Oh, how I miss the days of Playhouse Disney. Sort of makes me sad that my little boy no longer finds that exciting. Thanks for letting me relive it this morning. They grow up too fast.

Love the girls expressions during Beauty and the Beast. Love your recap of the show!

The B&B show is a must-see, for sure!! Love that show!! I loved how attentive the girls were; very sweet!

Thank you for the sweet bday wishes :) it was a great weekend, minus the hit-and-run guy who hit my car in a parking lot & drove off. :( Luckily a good Samaritan wrote down the plate # and put it on my windshield for me. So now I get to deal with that this week - joy. Oh well, whaddya gonna do??

Have a great week!!

Thanks for sharing! We always love getting to know our DIS kids better. She is too cute!

Thank you, I think we will keep her :thumbsup2

LOVE the pics from B&B. The faces on the girls are absolutely priceless. We saw it for the first time last trip. Chloe loved it. You are correct - it is just the right length. Your commentary was too funny. :lmao:

Have a great Monday. Only 2 more days and I am leaving for Miami - it is for business, but at least it will be warm and I can see the ocean.

I just love the Beauty and the Beast stage show...and your version of the retelling was wonderful! :thumbsup2

The girls' faces are absolutely adorable...it really looks like they enjoyed the show! :goodvibes

You took some fantastic shots!!! :)

/
Happy Valentine's Day, all!!!
May we all enjoy as much chocolate and kisses as we can stand.

I love your telling of the story.

I enjoy the show too but do not go every trip. I wish those benches were a bit softer and the theater a little more climate controlled.

Little spoiled girl! What if the seating was comparable to the Canada movie? ;) Then you'd be happy for those hard benches!

Hahahaha, I loved your retelling of Beauty and the Beast! SO funny.

It's such a good show. The actors deserve a better telling of their story, don't they? :goodvibes

Luke enjoyed seeing his favorite pals via the DIS today. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are the thing at our house. The Disney Store has big stuffed Captain Hooks that he got his Nana to buy him a few weeks ago.... it has not left his side! I missed Playhouse Disney last summer... I took Hannah on I guess Tower of Terror. My days for that show are probably numbered too...

You can youtube the entire show for Luke. He will enjoy it. ::yes::

I really, really, really hope rumors of Disney Store coming back here are true. I'm thinking I'll get talked into some new toys on visits with the girls, too. :lovestruc

Oh, who am I kidding???
I'll talk myself into new toys even when they are not here! :rolleyes1

Those little girls are so much enjoying that show!Their faces-such concentration and amazement:thumbsup2 Love it!!
I have yet to sit and watch Beauty and the Beast. There are so many good rides at Hollywood studios that we never seem to get around to the extras like this(apart from we have seen Indy several times!)
Hopefully i will have more time to Dis this week. We are now on half term holidays for a week!!:woohoo:. I hope your week at school is much kinder to you.

Maybe you can give it a try next time. It's really not that long, and it is well worth missing a ride for.

Enjoy your holiday time. We were hoping for a snow day here, but the snow wasn't as much as expected.

Thanks for the Beauty and Beast pictures, and your storytelling both were enjoyable. The pictures have put me in the planning mood. If a good code comes out we may go back to Disney in Sept. I am hoping for free dinning. Then we will go back with DH family next Jan. I love the idea of planning two Disney trips.

I hope that code comes through! :yay:

We now officially have our two trips for the year on the books. :thumbsup2 I made the October trip official this past weekend.

Catching up after one of those weeks!

Our group of 15 saw Beauty and the Beast too and the kids were all absorbed in the show just like Brook and Bella. It is just a perfect slice of the movie and done so well!

Megan and Keeley loved it when they were young and watched it over and over.

Our kids saw Playhouse Disney as well, but I chose to sit outside in the sun. I'm not a floor sitter either.

We have parent/teacher conferences next week, then a four day weekend. I wish that we were heading somewhere warm. It's freezing here!!!

This week and next are going to be crazy for me. Lots going on at school, and my final observation is next week. After that, the rest of the year should be fairly normal.

We have an in-service Monday. My last observation is the unannounced one for an hour. It can be at any time during the week, but lucky for me, that knocks it down to four days of anticipation. :thumbsup2

Beauty and the Beast gives us 'grands' a 1-2 punch. We enjoy the show, and we enjoy watching the faces of our little ones enjoying the show. :lovestruc

Love Love Love your telling of Beauty and the Beast!! The girls expressions say everything Disney is about!! Thanks for giving me such a huge smile this morning

I am glad you enjoyed the pictures. I wanted to jump into the picture and give my girls big smooches. ;)

Well, you know I loved this update. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorites! I love that they still have this show at DHS (aka MGM). And I loved the looks on Brookie and Bella's faces.

Is it just me or did that Belle look like Rachel Ray?!

Mine, too! I love Disney shows.

I didn't really pay attention to this Belle looking like Rachel Ray. You might be right. I don't know if she's a cook, but she did a great job with the singing. ;)

Ponytail boy heartthrob. Very descriptive.

It is a great show for you, you can tell but the pictures that the girls just love it. You're right, it's just the right length of time and fast paced enough to keep kiddos interested.

Jill said she liked the Ponytail Heartthrob Boy reference, too.

Brooklynn has loved this show since she was a baby.

We LOVE B&tB too! I really enjoyed your play-by-play of the show! We watch it on every trip as well. I even get a little teary watching it. I just love the music and costumes. It's such a great story. And I agree, I'd love to see more shows like that at Disney. The shows are some of our very favorite things about WDW.

The costumes are great - so colorful! I'm all for more shows, and any time I get a Disney survey that gives me a chance to say so, I will voice that to the Disney higher-ups. :thumbsup2

We love that show too!
And I especially enjoyed your retelling of the story - have you been taking tips from Brooklyn and Bella? because it reminded me very much of the stories I hear my little ones 'read' from their books

I spend five days a week with 7-8 year old kids, so I pretty much only know how to think like a kid!

We have not been to Beauty & The Beast in a long time! It is cute to see how much the girls were enjoying the show. Now that the boys are older we are usually busy riding those 2 rides across from the theater.

Maybe one of these days you can see it again for nostalgia's sake. :lovestruc

I thoroughly enjoyed your recap of Beauty and the Beast! The girls look entranced by the show.

Entranced is the perfect word. :)

I love B&B enjoying B&B! I was sad when my little book-aholic said she was "too old" for B&B last trip. But she agreed to go "for Daddy's sake" bcz he hadn't seen it with us the time before. And who was riveted the whole time? Yup -- all of us! Then when we saw a 3D version of the movie :3dglasses was coming out, she couldn't wait to see it. It would have been just perfect if we'd had Mickey Bars to go with our popcorn.

We were going to see the movie a couple of weekends ago, but it didn't pan out. Is it Nemo that is coming to theaters in the fall? We will have to see that one!

Loved seeing your pics of Beauty and the Beast. It's one of my favorites, and we never miss it. I love the fact that some of the same faces I saw in your pictures are the same ones I've seen over the past ten years.

Wow, your memory is better than mine. I would have to go back to look in pictures. I am not that observant, but I am glad to hear that there are people who have been in the show for a long time. I guess it means they are being treated well. :thumbsup2

I loved your Beauty and the Beast pictures and storytelling! I haven't seen that show yet, but it is on the list. I love the movie

Anita, I didn't realize Keeley is pregnant, how exciting! She's due the day before I am. Congrats to you all! And if she chooses the name of that student who drove you crazy, hopefully it won't take too long for all those bad memories to be replaced by good ones.

Yes, make the effort to see the show. I think you will like it! :goodvibes

Your rendition of B&B was fabulous!

I love the looks on the girls faces. I remember Danielle looking like that the first time she saw it when she was 3. We still go back every trip, both girls still love it even though they are 12 & 21.

I hope our girls continue to love it. I hope they keep this show and add more like it at all the parks.

Okay, just catching up getting through your DHS day almost as efficiently as you apparently did! WOW you guys saw a lot at that park! Well done! Nolyn likes Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and he's 6! BUT he just loves captain hook and smee! We have not been to that show in FOREVER! I remember our first trip with Griffin and there was Jo Jo!!! Crazy! We love the Great Movie Ride, too... I never get tired of it, though some parts are "tired" if you know what I mean!!! We have never seen Beauty and the Beast stage show, or Little Mermaid. I want to see the Little Mermaid, I don't think they will go for Beauty ... can't wait to see what you have in store next!!!

GMR does need an update, I think. They need to replace Alien, for sure.

It seems strange that you have never seen either of those shows, since we have seen them so many, many times. With boys, you've probably seen Indiana Jones and done the Star Wars fighting thing a bunch of time, and the girls haven't done those. We'll each have to try the other things and report back on how our kids liked them. :)

The next pictures show some shopping, so whenever next time is, it'll start with that.

I'll be seeing that show one week from today:cool1::cool1:

And, seeing Fantasmic for the first time. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love your pictures - priceless as always.

So very exciting! :dance3: Now that winter has decided to come back, you get to make your escape!

I hope you love Fantasmic as much as we do. Have you youtubed it? You might want to warn the girls or let them see it that way first so that they won't be afraid of some parts of it. We love it, but I can see how some parts would be too much for little ones. Maybe you could talk them through it and prepare them with youtube videos.

Yay for June! That will bring you back to life. :goodvibes

I didn't go to my college graduation. I'm happy with a certificate and no pomp and circumstance. ;)

Oh, how I miss the days of Playhouse Disney. Sort of makes me sad that my little boy no longer finds that exciting. Thanks for letting me relive it this morning. They grow up too fast.

Love the girls expressions during Beauty and the Beast. Love your recap of the show!

Maybe sometime you can scoot off to see it yourself while the guys are doing some ride you might not like. For old time's sake. ;)

The B&B show is a must-see, for sure!! Love that show!! I loved how attentive the girls were; very sweet!

Thank you for the sweet bday wishes it was a great weekend, minus the hit-and-run guy who hit my car in a parking lot & drove off. Luckily a good Samaritan wrote down the plate # and put it on my windshield for me. So now I get to deal with that this week - joy. Oh well, whaddya gonna do??

Have a great week!!

Sorry about the car. I had mine hit like that, too, a long time ago (ealry 20's). I went out after work and my driver's door was smashed. I wasn't as lucky about anyone seeing it happen, so I was just out of luck.

Thank you, I think we will keep her

LOVE the pics from B&B. The faces on the girls are absolutely priceless. We saw it for the first time last trip. Chloe loved it. You are correct - it is just the right length. Your commentary was too funny.

Have a great Monday. Only 2 more days and I am leaving for Miami - it is for business, but at least it will be warm and I can see the ocean.

Yes, it will be warm! That far down, it may be too warm!
It will be a nice getaway, though, even if it is for work.

I love the pictures of the girls enjoying B & B! Awesome shots!

I hope your week (and mine) go by quickly.

If I can get through next week, the rest of my school year should go smoothly. :thumbsup2

I just love the Beauty and the Beast stage show...and your version of the retelling was wonderful!

The girls' faces are absolutely adorable...it really looks like they enjoyed the show!

You took some fantastic shots!!!

The girls love the show. I'm not sure John was too excited about it, though. He didn't seem quite so enthralled.

I just snap away and hope for some decent ones. I wish I really knew how to work good cameras, but I don't have the time or patience (or smarts) to learn.

Happy Valentine's Day, all!!!
May we all enjoy as much chocolate and kisses as we can stand.

Same to you and all of DIStown!

Next came a little browsing.

I'm not into the Jack Skellington stuff, but I was trying to think of things others might want to see and not be so me-minded in what I got pictures of.

I thought about getting this for Drew.

Which Disney Princess will Bella choose for her party in April?

These look like fun!

We were going to see Little Mermaid, but the show didn't start for another little while, so we went on.

IMG_6514.jpg

Entertainment on the center stage.

IMG_6516.jpg

As you can see, the crowd was now building.

IMG_6518.jpg

We decided to shop our way out of the park.

We added to the family here. Bella got a Minnie, and I think this is where Brooklynn got a new puppy.

IMG_6535.jpg

Now you can see the tree much better than you could when we had arrived in the dark.

I love all of the Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise, but I always hate how Jack is lumped in with the villains sections of the stores! He isn't a villain!!!

That castle "Up" shirt is so cute! :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great day! Hugs to all!

Lexi and I loved following along in your story of Beauty & the Beast.
I can't get enough of that show!

Lexi is a Jack Skellington fan so we HAVE to go in the Villians Shop every time.. She wants everything they have.

We came home with the Princess cup set and the DISNEY tee. I like the new design with the monorail.

We got that 40th ornament in Sept.... unfortunately Mickey's nose got broken off somehow over Christmas. :sad1:

I wanted a Disney Christmas tshirt so badly but we never found any.
They must have put them away by the time we got there.
I did find a red fleece jacket but didn't end up getting it.

Luv you all! :flower3: & chocolate wishes for everyone!!!

Yippee!!!! shopping with Memom pictures:banana: Love to shop at DHS while sitting at my computer.

Thanks :thumbsup2

I agree with you on the Jack Skellington stuff... not my cup of tea!

I always enjoy your merchandise pictures. I'm just getting into the whole Disney pin thing but the obsession is growing quickly! Now I'm figuring out which one of those pins I'd like better: Earful Tower, of Tower of Terror! What have I gotten myself into...

Loved the update!

Thanks for more great shopping pictures - always enjoy them! :)

We've only ever taken trips in the summer so it was fun to see shirts with Mickey in Christmas get-up, and I just had to :rotfl2: at the 'cute, but expensive' princess shirts. We came home with one for each girl - Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty - but that was instead of spending lots more dollars on the dressing-up costumes so still felt like quite a bargain ;)
Each girl has their own favourite princess so it's making the sharing and shopping pretty easy on holiday and at home!

"ponytail boy heartthrob":lmao: That might be the best thing I've ever heard!

I love the looks on Brooklynn and Bella's faces during the show! So cute! You would think they didn't know what happens!;)

I spied a couple of new t-shirts I want in the browsing pictures!:thumbsup2 I also don't really go for the Jack Skellington stuff...but I do like the movie Nightmare Before Christmas!:santa:

All caught up! I had a crazy week full of school work last week and then basically spent my weekend doing absolutely nothing :rotfl:

I can't wait to do some Disney shopping!!! I'm glad our countdown has been flying by since school started. I need a stress-free Disney week! We'll be at our 3 week mark on Friday :dance3:

I have a love/hate relationship with your shopping pictures. I love looking at them but then I want to buy everything. LOL. :rotfl:

I love that red Walt Disney Shirt that has the word Disney using the characters/castle/monorail. I hope I can find that because I want to get that for Creighton. It is really awesome.
