All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Love all the shopping pictures. They provide me the energy to hang on until May! :)

I say every trip I'm going to see Beauty and the Beast and still never have! Mitch's leg was bothering him on our DHS day and so we couldn't do any shows with hard benches. Next time for sure!
Shopping your way out of the park is always the best way to leave!!

Little spoiled girl! What if the seating was comparable to the Canada movie? ;) Then you'd be happy for those hard benches!

The worst part about those metal benches are they burn youur buns if it is hot out and freeze your buns if it is cold. I have enough padding to deal with the hard for a little while.

I think the benches may be similar in FOLK- maybe worse because they have no backs but somehow I don't seem to mind it in that theather. Maybe BB needs some monkeys.

I got this book...

I think I may have met the author of that book. When I did that scavenger hunt through the monorail resorts, I think the person who wrote that book were 'in charge' of the hunt.

What cute shirts - I may have to hunt down the refurb one.

The castle with the balloons is cute too.

I love all of the Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise, but I always hate how Jack is lumped in with the villains sections of the stores! He isn't a villain!!!

That castle "Up" shirt is so cute!

I have never seen Nightmare Before Christmas. Just bits and pieces. I didn't really know what his role was.

Hope everyone has a great day! Hugs to all!

Lexi and I loved following along in your story of Beauty & the Beast.
I can't get enough of that show!

Lexi is a Jack Skellington fan so we HAVE to go in the Villians Shop every time.. She wants everything they have.

We came home with the Princess cup set and the DISNEY tee. I like the new design with the monorail.

We got that 40th ornament in Sept.... unfortunately Mickey's nose got broken off somehow over Christmas.

I wanted a Disney Christmas tshirt so badly but we never found any.
They must have put them away by the time we got there.
I did find a red fleece jacket but didn't end up getting it.

Luv you all! :flower3: & chocolate wishes for everyone!!!

I think maybe the Nightmare Before Christmas stuff is that you really, really like it or you just don't understand it/haven't seen it. Maybe?

Maybe you can get a Christmas t-shirt next year? I looked at jackets, too, but I couldn't justify the price, since I didn't need one.

Yippee!!!! shopping with Memom pictures:banana: Love to shop at DHS while sitting at my computer.

Thanks

Glad you enjoyed. :goodvibes
I enjoy taking them and looking back at them, too.

I agree with you on the Jack Skellington stuff... not my cup of tea!

I always enjoy your merchandise pictures. I'm just getting into the whole Disney pin thing but the obsession is growing quickly! Now I'm figuring out which one of those pins I'd like better: Earful Tower, of Tower of Terror! What have I gotten myself into...

Loved the update!

You do have to be careful with the pins. I limit myself to 1 to maybe 4 or 5 at most per trip, I would guess. I probably average 2-3.

Thanks for more great shopping pictures - always enjoy them!

We've only ever taken trips in the summer so it was fun to see shirts with Mickey in Christmas get-up, and I just had to :rotfl: at the 'cute, but expensive' princess shirts. We came home with one for each girl - Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty - but that was instead of spending lots more dollars on the dressing-up costumes so still felt like quite a bargain
Each girl has their own favourite princess so it's making the sharing and shopping pretty easy on holiday and at home!

I think those shirts are so cute. I think they were about $30, but still way cheaper than the dresses.

I hope you get to make a holiday trip one day. You would love Disney all dressed up in Christmas things. :santa:

"ponytail boy heartthrob":lmao: That might be the best thing I've ever heard!

I love the looks on Brooklynn and Bella's faces during the show! So cute! You would think they didn't know what happens!

I spied a couple of new t-shirts I want in the browsing pictures! I also don't really go for the Jack Skellington stuff...but I do like the movie Nightmare Before Christmas!:santa:

It's like they're seeing it for the first time every time, but I guess they come by it honestly. Look how silly Jill and I act over going to Disney World, and how many times have we done that???

I think it was Happydog who said her boys loved that movie. I have to watch it one day in its entirety.

All caught up! I had a crazy week full of school work last week and then basically spent my weekend doing absolutely nothing

I can't wait to do some Disney shopping!!! I'm glad our countdown has been flying by since school started. I need a stress-free Disney week! We'll be at our 3 week mark on Friday :dance3:

THREE weeks! Wow! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Doing nothing makes for good weekends sometimes. :thumbsup2

I have a love/hate relationship with your shopping pictures. I love looking at them but then I want to buy everything. LOL.

I love that red Walt Disney Shirt that has the word Disney using the characters/castle/monorail. I hope I can find that because I want to get that for Creighton. It is really awesome.

That would be cute for Creighton. :goodvibes

Take pictures of the merchandise.
It helps me not buy everything.

Well, that and not having any money.

Love all the shopping pictures. They provide me the energy to hang on until May!

Keep talking about May, because when it gets here, June is right behind it for us! We're doing well. We're halfway through February. :thumbsup2

I say every trip I'm going to see Beauty and the Beast and still never have! Mitch's leg was bothering him on our DHS day and so we couldn't do any shows with hard benches. Next time for sure!
Shopping your way out of the park is always the best way to leave!!

I hope you get to see it sometime. It is very good.

I'd say we pretty much shop our way out of every park a good percentage of the time. ;)

The castle with the balloons is cute too.

No one in the outside world would get the refurb one. They would think you were a strange girl.

I like a back to my seats, too. I do okay in Lion King, and I am not even focused on monkey hunting, so I guess they are not too bad. If I can get a back row in there without any trouble, I do.

Since I had forgotten to bring my Celebrations magazines to read in down time, I needed something, so I got that book and a D23 magazine, as well.

On behalf of DIStown's Hannah, daughter of Laura/IluvXU, could you guys be on the lookout for pictures you have of Walt's quotes around the parks? I knew where to find three, but I know I have the entrance one, and I can't locate it among my millions of pictures. If any of you have any Walt quote pictures, can you please put them on here for her to use for her school project? Thank you!

Happy Valentine's Day Memom. Good day for Beauty and the Beast pictures. The girls sure did enjoy the show. It is so hard for me to say no to my son when he wants a Disney plush because I like them so much. But we have WAY too many stuffed animals in this house. I am sure you and Jill know the feeling.

More than enough for Hannah's project!

Thanks MeMom and Anita. I have that site bookmarked.. but I love the pics of the signs around the parks that MeMom sent me. Dawn had one in her update today that got me thinking. Brooke helped with Disneyland too. This project is a collaborative effort of the Dis world I say!

Loved doing some virtual Disney shopping with you, but I can't wait to do some real Disney shopping in 3 days!

I want that book you got.

Shopping with you always brightens my day. :goodvibes

I must get that scavenger hunt book!!!

Oh, shopping pictures! I also see at least one thing in your pictures that I want. The shirt with the balloons and the castle was really cute! I'm assuming that's a reference to Up! but either way, I love it!

Gosh, I love those t-shirts! I never seem to see any "different" ones! I'm glad that they are coming up with some new types! I need a new one or two...

Shopping with you is fun - but dangerous to my wallet!

The shirts you posted pics of (Disney letters with monorail and the castle with the balloons) must have been new after Christmas. They weren't in the parks while we were there!

I'll have to check out that book! It looks very cool! :thumbsup2

Oh Chris lovesssss all that Jack Skellington stuff! Actually, he has one of those mugs that you posted!

I loveeeee that Walt Disney World shirt that has Disney with the a monorail as the 'Y'. I almost bought it and never did because I waited too long and the Emporium only had red and green ones. I hope they still have it when we're back in October!

Well I am completely NBC obsessed so I definitely appreciate the Jack stuff!

That book looks awesome. I would have been ALL over that had I spotted it in January!

Hey friends! I'm stopping in real quick to share my NEW favorite nail polish.

Cinderella5_picnik.jpg

Isn't that color gorgeous??? I had to share this polish with my DIS friends because it would be a great color to grace your fingertips when visiting the wonderful world of Disney! You can find it at Walgreen's.

I'll be back later on today to catch up on the report.

We do have too many, but we pretty much love them all, and we keep buying more. They're all a part of the family. :goodvibes

I want that book you got.

Yay for you! Enjoy your Disney fun! :cheer2:

Send pictures, please. (Is there a begging smiley?)

Shopping with you always brightens my day. :goodvibes

I must get that scavenger hunt book!!!

It's an interesting book, and it will all look very familiar to you. It shows mostly things a DISer would know, but there are some new things, too.

Oh, shopping pictures! I also see at least one thing in your pictures that I want. The shirt with the balloons and the castle was really cute! I'm assuming that's a reference to Up! but either way, I love it!

You know how Disney is - if you want it, you better get it, or it'll be gone!

Gosh, I love those t-shirts! I never seem to see any "different" ones! I'm glad that they are coming up with some new types! I need a new one or two...

Shopping with you is fun - but dangerous to my wallet!

I am kind of picky with my t-shirts. I like smaller writing and pictures, for the most part, and I like muted colors more than brights. I like a lot of the Animal Kingdom t-shirts. I am hoping that by the summer trip I am in good enough shape financially to get one or two more t-shirts to add to my collection. I have ruined a couple of the old ones.

The shirts you posted pics of (Disney letters with monorail and the castle with the balloons) must have been new after Christmas. They weren't in the parks while we were there!

The shirts must be brand new!

I don't think I had seen that book before, so I am glad I came across it. During the trip, it gave me something to read before I turned out the lights every night.

Oh Chris lovesssss all that Jack Skellington stuff! Actually, he has one of those mugs that you posted!

That is a cool WDW logo shirt. :thumbsup2 Isn't it fun to think about being back there in October?

Well I am completely NBC obsessed so I definitely appreciate the Jack stuff!

That book looks awesome. I would have been ALL over that had I spotted it in January!

I thought of you when I saw it. ::yes::

I'm super late but I'm in and caught up!!!!!

So glad you are here!

Definitely Cinderella blue. :goodvibes Glad you are getting some DIS time in.

********************************************

Sorry this has been a slow place the last week. School is keeping me very, very busy, and it will be that way all next week. Lots of extra projects and obligations are going on right now. I don't have the brain to even DIS much right now. I read a report, want to respond, but end up logging out because my brain is overloaded. One more week, and it should get better.

Our friend, Kay, stopped by this evening. She was here about 45 minutes, and I heard about 83 different conversations during that time. She had been to the funeral of a friend's mother, and as she began, she said something about the mom being 65. No, maybe 65 was the interstate she drove there on. Either way, she got lost, because her GPS was being hateful. Then she managed to get in details about a trip to see her brother (I think I may have told you guys that he had a bad car wreck back in the fall and they thought he was going to be paralyzed), her work schedule, the laying off of airline employees in Texas at some airline, her hair color, her trip to see her oldest son in I forget which state (Missouri, maybe?), how much the chiropractor has helped her, how messy her basement is, seeing a friend's ex-wife because she is an EMT now, you know (I didn't have any idea. I don't even know the girl!), and another 5-6 totally unrelated stories. Somehow, all of these things manage to flow together from one to another with her. She makes my head spin, and I just laugh. I started to call Jill and put her on speaker phone so she could join in, but I think she has a meeting tonight.

Since Jill thinks she is going to have to go to WDW with John's parents next spring, Kay and I are planning on doing an old lady trip. If it ends up that Jill and the girls can go, then I'll be , but if not, at least Kay and I can go and enjoy doing some different things. It won't be as wonderful as it is with my girls, but it'll be Disney World in the spring, so it'll still be awesome. Kay used to try to go into the 'I really shouldn't..' thing, knowing all along that she wanted to, but now she doesn't even do that. She's sold on Disney World as a fun place to be. I think after the fiasco in October, she's ready to go and enjoy it again.

I hope to put the next set of pictures up Saturday morning. Hope I have some brain power left by then. I hope you all have some nice weekend plans going on. Some of you are going to Disney World, and some are already there. Some may be relaxing, or some may have to do school work. Boo. Whatever you/we are doing, be safe, and make it as good as it can be!

I hope things slow down for you soon Memom. I know how frustrating it is to be overwhelmed with life. And we miss having you around every day!

I seem to go forever between updating my TR and responding to other's just because I do the same thing you do - I read and want to respond, but I just can't. Or I want to update but just don't have the brain power. I hope things start to slow down for you!
