All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Glad to hear you are all safe. Boy there were some communities that were totally wiped out.:sad2:

Boy, was I totally out of the loop!!!! I was up most of the night (something I ate didn't agree with me:sick:) so this morning I barely had enough time to get myself together for school and didn't get on the internet/watch the news. I had no idea about all of these storms until tonight when I finally had a chance to log on.
I am so glad that you guys are all ok!!!

I'm glad to hear you and your family are safe.

I just turned on the Weather Channel and saw there are still bad storms out there. Stay safe everyone. My thoughts and prayers definitely go out to all that have been affected and those that are still in the path of storms.

Be sure you have one of these for your stay.

Does anyone know if they still have those mugs now? I remember last year those mugs came out right after we left and I was so disappointed that we didn't get those. I think we each have 3 of the previous ones.

I'm glad you're all okay! My mom has been on a business trip since Tuesday and was flying home from North Carolina tonight. I was a little nervous but she made it home without any problems. She'll actually be on a business trip in Alabama in a few weeks. I think her actual meeting(or whatever it is ) is in Hollywood but she's flying into Huntsville.

I got to start playing the "this time next week" game today  This time next week I'll be at the Wilderness Lodge :cloud9:

It's going to be a long night. Stay safe everyone.

I've been out of the loop too!
No television on here or anything else.
So glad that you all are safe!

I hope these storms settle down and give everyone a break!

I am glad to hear you are well. I thought about you a lot today.

When I heard on the news that many schools were sending kids home, I thought the exact same thing that you said. Around here it would be better for a lot of the kids to stay at school. Many of them live in poorly built homes and have no one there to look after them. I guess sometimes it's hard for me to understand that it isn't like that all over the country. It's a very good thing that those kids were sent home at that high school that was destroyed. I can't imagine how bad that could have been.

It should be getting here very early in the morning, and I am hoping that it will have lost its steam by then. I just can't believe all this is starting again. I thought last year was just a fluke thing, but it seems to be the norm now! Seriously makes me want to invest in a storm shelter.

They kept the middle schoolers and would not let them board buses. I know there were a lot of unhappy kids and teachers, but they were just using caution. They released them as soon as there was a break in the action. I wouldn't have enjoyed it, of course, because I can imagine what the kids were like wanting to get out of that building on a Friday, but I think it was the right call.

Hope you guys fare as well as we did. Keep us posted.

I saw pictures of destruction on Yahoo. Sad stuff. I can't imagine having my house smashed to the ground. :sad1:

You were probably better off not knowing anything.

Hope you are feeling better now. :)

The GA people got it shortly after us. I think it is losing steam now.

I have not heard anything about the mugs changing, so as of now, I think they are just like those.

Yay for being at Wilderness Lodge next week! :woohoo: I am excited to be there through your pictures.

Report in this morning and let us know how your area made it through.

Me, too. It seems like Huntsville is in some kind of path that attracts bad storms, and I am not good with that. :upsidedow

Did you see that Brooklynn was saving all of her animals from harm in Jill's FB picture?

A little action right as I was finally going to go to sleep around 1 am and then again around 3:30am. Lots of coffee on board this morning. :surfweb:

I wasn't aware of it till later (I was working all afternoon yesterday), but when I saw Jill's FB picture and then your post I realized what had been going on. So glad to hear you guys are doing okay!

There was apparently a tornado that touched down several miles from our house. I slept through the whole thing!

You can always hide behind me, MeMom, in the pictures. LOL!

Glad everyone made it through yesterday's storms okay. I have a feeling that because we have had such a warm winter, it is going to be a crazy spring with bad weather. I hope I am just being paranoid.

Love all the charms. I like the Pandora bracelets especially if I can buy Disney charms for them.

So glad that everyone is safe. When I saw Jill's post about finishing the cakes, I figured all was ok at her house too. I remember those days from when I lived in South Dakota & Minnesota. At least we had basements to hide out in... now my parents live in a trailer and I dread having to be there when a storm is blowing thru. Now, I just get to worry about earthquakes :(

I'm not sure if I posted, and I couldn't find one.

I love your early morning travelling buddy. It must be enjoyable to take her and have her all to yourself!

Love the pictures!

Glad you are all safe. Hopefully, you are experiencing some better weather today. It is nearly 60 here. Next week the temps are supposed to reach 70. Very, very odd for Philadelphia in March.

I'm glad to hear that you guys made it through okay!!!

Thanks. We were fortunate. There are many who lost their homes and family members in several states. Their lives are in an upheaval right now.

Just checking in and I'm very glad and thankful that everyone is safe! :grouphug:

I am glad, too. I don't think any of our people had any damage.

You need to go to bed early tonight. ::yes::

That's the best way to go through the chaos - just not be aware of it.

Glad you slept safely through it. It came close to Jill again, but no damage to her neighborhood. People in that area are understandably a little jittery when thunderstorms come through these days.

You could be right about the spring, but I hope you aren't. ;)

I'm gonna need you and someone else side by side. You alone will do nothing to help out the hiding process.

I love to look at the jewelry, but I don't like to wear anything but earrings. Anything around my neck bothers me a little, and anything around my wrist bothers me a lot. :sad2: I'm weird.

I would worry about someone in a mobile home, too. Those things are no contest for high winds. Thanks for checking in on us. :goodvibes

Bella gets up and is ready to go, so she's my little shadow in the mornings. That morning, I figured we'd go on ahead and get in a 'baby' ride or two before the others came along. It is pure joy to be with each girl individually. :lovestruc

It was beautiful here today. I hope the spring doesn't go crazy on us to make up for how nice winter was.

I agree about the warm winter but this roller coaster weather is nutty.

I love to look at the jewelry, but I don't like to wear anything but earrings. Anything around my neck bothers me a little, and anything around my wrist bothers me a lot. :sad2: I'm weird.

Then I am weird too. I wear a watch but it can't be loose around my wrist.

I got used to wearing no jewelry when I was in the water a lot but now that I am not I just don't think to put it on.

You need to go to bed early tonight. ::yes::

I got to sleep in a bit this morning since I did not need to be at the pool until 11. I will take it easy tonight and I will see what time I crash.

I'm glad to hear everybody is o.k. I had no idea this was going on until about 10 last night. I guess I was under a rock all day. I think I'll blame it on my first graders.:rotfl:
I was at MK too this morning. I'll be on the look out for my family and I in your pics. I'm sure you had a great morning with Bella.

I had a Disney (no surprise) watch many, many years ago, but I think I probably got tired of taking it off and on to wash hands and dishes and do assorted chores when Jill was a baby. It was easier to not wear one at all, so I got used to not having anything on, and now it's annoying to have something on my wrist.

Hope you got some good rest. Work, rest, or play - what does today hold?

I would say a group of first-graders could easily distract you from hearing any news of anything going around you. I normally don't have any news going, and the little time that my TV is on, it's usually on HGTV, so there could be many times things are going on in this world that I could miss.

That will be fun if you spy yourselves walking right by in the background of a Magic Kingdom picture!

********************************************

If you wake up in the middle of the night and the phrase that greets you out of your brain is-

A dream is a wish your potato makes.....

is there any hidden meaning to that?

Maybe I was dreaming we were at a meal in Disney World? Maybe I was at home eating a potato and making some Disney plans? I don't remember the dream. I just remember waking up and having that verse coming out of my brain. Good thing I wasn't sleep singing. People might think I am crazy or something. ;)

I like potatoes, though.
Mashed, fried, boiled, or baked, I'm happy with them! :goodvibes

Where do you suppose Bella wanted to go first?

Did you say horsies?

You are so smart!

Ride One.

It will be so exciting when all of this is open!

IMG_6782.jpg

I am pretty sure I have video of this, as well.

The 'Steps' were out and about.
Look at their faces. They are such fun!

IMG_6783.jpg

Jill called and said they were in the park, so we went to meet them. We were going to ride Winnie the Pooh, but it was temporarily closed because someone needed a honey break or there was a honey spill or something like that.

New signage.

IMG_6784.jpg

Let's get a drink here.

IMG_6785.jpg

What will you have?

IMG_6786.jpg

As we walked along with our drinks, we saw White Rabbit.

IMG_6787.jpg

I don't know if we rode Teacups here or what. I have no evidence of it, if we did.

The next pictures I have indicate that we went this way.
