Wow!! Everything so exciting, a move, new job, and of course your engagement! A Disney Alaskan cruise sounds absolutely magical for a honeymoon. I am so happy for you!
Yeah, we have always wanted to go to Alaska, it's George's dream to live there even, so we knew this was a perfect chance for us to see it while enjoying some Disney magic still!
Congratulations on everything Stephanie, the move, new jobs, your engagement and a Disney cruise! I would love to do one of the Alaska ones but it will probably have to wait till after retirement because Jim won't take that long off of work. I guess I could go alone but he does actually want to do an Alaska cruise so I guess I will wait for him.

Sorry I was MIA again for a bit, lots more craziness has come our way!
First of all, I've had some health issues since moving here to Utah. I was fine for a few weeks, then all of a sudden I was having trouble breathing non-stop. I had asthma as a teenager but hadn't had an attack in over 12 years! Well, something was triggering it again and I was having never-ending asthma attacks. Now, they were thankfully low level ones so I could still function but I couldn't work or do anything that exerted myself at all. Even walking across the house would sometimes send me into wheezing. I did finally get it under control with steroids and an albuterol inhaler.
Now, the fun news! We are talking about taking a Disneyland vacation in October! Nothing set in stone as we are still trying to make sure we could swing it with the wedding and honeymoon next year, but we think we can. We are quite excited at the possibility since neither of us have ever been to California at all, let along Disneyland!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that we also had a scare with Phoenix 3 weeks ago. As I've said, he has prostate cancer and unfortunately there is nothing much they can do about it. He was given 2-3 months and it has been 8.5 months so we already consider ourselves lucky. Anyway, he suddenly started having trouble urinating 3 weeks ago, which is a sign that the tumor has grown to the point of restricting his bladder. Basically once that happens we will have to make the decision to let him go, since he won't be able to go at that point and will be in pain and stress trying to go. So when he started straining and having barely anything come out we were afraid it was the end. We took him to the vet and he did a prostate exam and said while it was enlarged, it wasn't blocking his bladder. It turns out it was just a urinary tract infection and after two weeks of antibiotics he is back to normal!
Also, if we do go to Disneyland, we will be taking Phoenix with us if he is still around! While he is doing great we do know still that be has limited time left. But if he is still with us then tons of the DL Good Neighbor hotels are pet friendly and there is a kennel at the gates of DL that he could stay at during the day while we are in the parks. If he is gone by then we probably will still stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel, since the DL resorts are all pretty pricey.
I'm glad you're getting the asthma under control. That would definitely be scary to have as much trouble breathing as you were having.
I think you'll really enjoy and appreciate Disneyland. I hope you both have a fantastic time! And it's good to know that Phoenix is still going strong and that your recent scare was nothing more than just a scare. I definitely hope he'll be going with you to Disneyland.
Congratulations! I am happy to hear about all of your blessings! I am sure that everyone here agrees with me about how wonderful it is when good things happen to great people.
I, too, am having growing pains getting used to the new DIS
I did want to find you, however, to thank you for your other trip report that you did with your mom, which I cannot find, of course, or I would have answered there. I was inspired by you and I just booked Wild Africa Trek as a surprise for my daughter
I wish you all the best in this new direction your life is taking.
