I haven't tried the pizza or the chocolates. I'm kind of undecided about how much I like Aldi. Some things I think are very good, others I really don't like. I guess once I figure out what I like and what I don't I won't mind shopping there. The trial and error process irritates me though, lol, when I feel like I'm throwing money away. I don't mind bagging my own groceries. Actually, I prefer it.
I'm wary of the meat. Almost all of it says "solution added" on the package. If they're injecting it with salt water, that increases the weight of the package and decreases the value, vs what I pay at the regular grocery store, right? I'm paying for a percentage of water?
So far, I know I like: flour, sugar, oil, butter, eggs, milk, shredded cheese, bagged salad, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, frozen teriyaki noodle kit, Benita tortilla chips. The bbq sauce is ok for the price.
I don't like: cereal, pop tarts, drink mix packets, canned mandarin oranges, pre-cooked bacon, zoo animal-shaped chicken nuggets.
DH likes the premium ice cream; I don't. DD likes the italian ice cups. The kids did not like the pizza lunchables.
Even if I did like everything, and I don't, they don't carry all items that I normally buy. I have to shop at another store to get everything. That's a pain.
