I not trying to offend but aren't there bigger issues in the world you can take a stand against other than this. :confused3

So you can't object to this new development AND care about all of these bigger issues in the world? Not trying to offend, but some people can care about more than one thing at the same time, you know.

Was so shocked to see that Be Our Guest is gonna offer Beer and Wine! That is so awesome finally a great place to eat and get a drink in the MK!

Woohoo. I'm glad about it. Love wine with dinner

I am so shocked about those who claim they have never seen a drunk person at Epcot! Really? LOL! Even my children have seen them and have asked what is wrong with them! Yes, there are drunk people at Epcot...I have seen more than I would have liked. During F&W and Friday nights mostly.

I am not thrilled with serving beer and wine at MK. If they do truly limit it to 2 glasses a person, than it won't bother me. I don't mind have a glass or 2 with dinner. I don't need it and I rarely drink alcohol (or caffeine), but it would be nice to have 1 glass with a nice dinner. If people really just want to enjoy a glass with dinner, than the limit shouldn't bother anyone.

I would be concerned, however, if they don't limit it. This park, of the 4 at WDW, is truly geared towards children. And children don't need to be exposed to over indulgence. And people can be very irresponsible when drunk.

I am eating there in Feb during the half marathon and plan to have a glass of something(no children or husband around!). We couldn't score ADR's for our Dec visit.

I would think they would limit it. 1 drink a person.

Just got back from the world and the drunkest person I saw was with me on the monorail. He was coming back to the MK from Poly! So just because MK is dry doesn't mean it doesn't have drunks!

Actually I said that and I didn't see anyone who was obnoxiously drunk. I saw a few at more than one park who had been smoking something other than tobacco too.
The most obnoxious person I ran into was at MK, a mother with 2 kids around 9-10 years old. Thought she was terribly rude until I ran into a few more of them inside the park.

Trust me I know how to tell when someone is totally wasted.....:)

It is true that drunks will be everywhere. Which is sad. I have seen drunk people at the other parks, but the most obvious ones I have seen were at Epcot. And it is sad for those kids who had to deal with a drunk mom at Disney.

As of 2 weeks ago, I made our final 7-day plan & ADR's for February but in light of today's events (I'm not referring to the REAL world in which WWIII is eminent) I re-worked our schedule/reservations to include 2 visits to BOG. I had no intention what-so-ever of going to the new FantasyLand (we have no interests there) but I will do so now, in order to have a bite to eat & a couple of those dark, evil, loathsome, irrational, sadistic, vile, gluttonous, obscene glasses of wine.:rotfl2:

I love what you wrote! Enjoy your trip and enjoy your wine!!

Another positive: Under the influence of alcohol, Stich's Great Escape will suck that much less! :thumbsup2

Actually I didn't say the Mom was drunk, she was totally obnoxious at 9a.m in the morning without the benefit of alcohol...

The drunkest people I EVER saw in my 57 years of going to the Disney Parks was at Disneyland, multiple times, in many different years.

Truth be told, I'm still more angry about losing Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at MK than any other change. :lmao:

I do think it's funny that many of the people complaining about the alcohol issue think the easywdw guy is so great when his goal at WDW seems to be to drink scotch alone everywhere possible. :rotfl2:

I am all for wine and beer at a sit down restuarant.

For those of you who claim to know Walt so well to say he would be rolling over in his grave or whatever the comments have been...really? Why are you entitled to say what someone would do or believe? We live in a different generation, a different world since Walt has been alive. Wasn't tv still showing married couples sleeping in double beds back then in Walt's time?

I think claiming to know how Walt would feel in the year 2012 is a disgrace to his name, not the fact that they want to serve alcohol at a sit down dinner.
Just my opinion.

I just sent in a kudos email, and suggested that they open alcohol service to all the MK restaurants. Its about time! :thumbsup2
