SUNDAY, March 11, 2001 HOME

We got up this morning rather leisurely and finished packed all the last minute things. The kids went swimming one last time and then Gary proceeded to stuff it all into the van. Didn’t fit quite as easy as before, but we got it all in! We left by about 10:45. We had wanted to check out the All Stars so we stopped by that hotel and Charlene and I got out and looked around. It would be okay to stay there but I think we really enjoyed the CBR better. So off to the airport. We checked in with our mounds of luggage and went to the food court. We ate lunch there – Bethany and Miles wanted McDonalds so I took them clear out to one of the far away areas to get it. We did some last minute shopping and then got on the plane.
We loaded on about 1/2 hour late on the plane. Then in St. Louis there was another delay. Something needed to be fixed but it got fixed fairly quickly. We were so relieved that we weren’t trying to meet another plane. We didn’t want to be late but we didn’t have to worry about missing a connection. Actually, by the time they got to Portland, we were on time but then we ended up being a little late into Anchorage. It was a Loooooooong flight home. We didn’t get off the plane which we probably should have in Portland for a break. We just wanted to come home quickly!
Our luggage arrived safe and sound, our homes were toasty and warm. The weather outside was not exactly warm but, hey, we were back in ALASKA!

Were great! Read evey one in order. You must have been some Very tired people when you arrived home! How long of a "vacation" did you need after your vacation? (LOL) Loved your detail and, without too many specifics; ie: bathrooms, etc. Hope I can even come close to "reporting" our trip as well as you! Thanks, Big Time, for sharing! :) :D

Thanks again for Posting. I was tired just reading about your long flight home! :)
