OK, In the interest of fair play and WWWD (What would Walt do), I would like to propose some simple rules for the Swan and Pirate game. If there is only one swan/pirate at stake and you don't have one yet, please wait until 95 posts are in for that run, then GO NUTS WITH THE POSTS!!! No offense, Tisza, I'm glad you got on the scoreboard!:

Also, when there's more than one Swan/Pirate on the line, please don't do the multiple post thing. That's more in the spirit on the game, to get more people involved in the thread.

OK, I'm off my soapbox now. These are the rules we had on the other thread I had the game on. I hope no one is offended and we have a great time with the game.

Hi All,

Duly noted and I am not offended but someone had to push the envelope, right And in the spirit of the game, what self respecting Pirate would leave booty just sitting there for the taking Arrrrr... I am glad this is clarified it makes it more fun for everyone.

For future games, can I suggest another revision? Perhaps as we come to the end of the game a random number might be chosen and who ever has made posts that fit that number also gets awarded points just to keep things interesting and to keep folks posting. Although, as we get closer to the end of the game I don't think we will need to encourage folks to chat.

I am getting ready right now to take "the Ladies" out on our grand adventure. I seriously don't think that even Starbucks offers anything with enough caffeine in it to give me the kind of energy I am going to need today!

Oh and Happy Day After Cinco De Mayo everyone!

I am so sorry for your loss. Both of my parents are gone now. No matter how much it was expected, it is difficult. I am coming up on two years since the loss of my husband. I can tell you that the grief eases but there will always be a bit of a scar. And - the happy memories rise to the surface.

I am so sorry about your dad. I was off the boards for a few days and didn't see it when I came back. It's been rough here, too. I guess I forgot to post it here (I posted it on the Baltic thread) I lost my mom last Sat. We buried her on Tues. Even though she was 92, had Alzheimer's, and lived with us, she is at peace. Yes, it's been a long week. You are in our prayers.

Maryann, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom.

My mom will be 88 this year & although she hasn't been diagnosed with Alzheimers, she does have some serious dementia issues. She lives in San Diego about 1100 miles away from us, but she was actually able to travel this weekend & will stay with us for a few weeks. I know our time with her is short so I'm going to treasure the time we still have with her.

My thoughts & prayers go out to you & your family at this time.
