Is anyone organizing FE for our cruise.

It looks like James (jrp) started a list on page 3 of this thread so I'm leaving it up to him Steve & I didn't participate on our last cruise either because we were too overwhelmed. We want to participate this time, but I'm a little concerned about the amount of luggage we can take on the flight. We have always driven to our destination & taken whatever we wanted to. This is the first flight I've taken in 15 years!

I spoke with DCL last week and was told they definitely won't have fireworks because the loud sounds would cause glaciers to calve. Makes total sense to me. Maybe they'll have the party minus the fireworks?

Not only no fireworks but, the new Pirates of the Carribean movie comes out on the 20th of May.. Hopefully wiht an opening in the theatre on the ship.. That is their usual ,odus operandi..

Also, it may be hard to see the fireworks as it doesn't get dark at night during the summer months

Steve/Squid, I just noticed you're from K3! I graduated from Olivet! Still come down to visit several times a year since I still have friends in the area. Sing with me now... it's a small world after all....

Do you think you may be new Chif of the depatment? Wow! That would be great.. Do you need a worn out fire/Medic in the department.. I have been the EMS coordinator with my old department in St. Petersburg.. Hehe , just kidding.. Can't believe it is getting close.. Making new door signs now and will start on the new door magnets soon.. I will post some of them once I get most of them done.. I also had a couple of tie died mickey shirts done a couple of months age by someone who has a bussiness on the board.. I was thinking of having some made for the Alaska cruise and was wondering if anyone else is interested in getting one for themselves and their clan.. I will contact her soon.. If anyone has a disign or saying please post them. I was just thinking of having ALASKA and the date of the cruise would suffice with the green mickey head and tie died.. What say all of you..

hello fellow sailors =) i spoke with dcl and they said that indeed there will be NO fireworks because of the proximity to land but there WILL be a Pirate Party woooo hoooo =)

We just booked our cruise yesterday. (kids sail free, yippee!) It's our second with Disney and 1st 7 day. Can't wait to see Alaska. Shame about the fireworks, but understandable, and so cool about the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. We would love to participate in fish extenders. It's me, DH, DD (12) and DS (10).

Well they decided to give me the Deputy Chief position. I guess that will be just fine. So now that that is settled I will try and be more active here. Really looking forward to booking a few excursions soon. Our window of opportunity opens pretty quick. I will That may spur my creative juices and I get a little more done we will see. Dont think I am into the Fish Extenders though.......

DW and I ,well really me have about decided on the excursions.. Going to do the champage train and one other which I will let you know soon.. I wanted to do the ATV excursion but not the DW she said my Bike days are over and this might give me ideas againWill talk later Chief and again congrats to ya..

We've decided on our port adventures, too, and am excited that we can start booking next Wednesday! That means our cruise is just around the corner! I just hope the ones we want aren't booked by gold & platinum CC members first.
