Alamo Rental Car??

I have priced out a rental car to get us from Tampa to WDW in August. We will have the car(standard size) for less than 24 hrs and they want $75! That is with a AAA discount!! Does this sound right? It seems awful high to me when I read that many get the car at that price for a whole week!

I chose Alamo because they have a drop off at WDW. Any suggestions on other rental companies or discounts would be appreciated.

That is quite high. I would think more like 40-45, try mousesavers.com for some codes.

I already tried the code for BJ's as well as the AAA code and it only saved me $3 off the price. I called Alamo to question this and they said that the code is good for UP TO 20%. I literally only saved about 2%.

They also told me that there is an extra fee to drop off the car at the Dolphin. I tried to call some other rental car companies and some wouldn't even allow me to take the car from Tampa to Orlando and no one else had a drop off at the Dolphin.

Has anyone else ever done this??

I feel like I am being rooked.

You can try National, they are also at the DOlphin, and no drop charge. Or return the Alamo car at the car care center, again no drop charge.

Now its not Tampa, but we are renting from Alamo at MCO and returning to the Wyndham at DTD the next day and our base rate is $27.99 for a 4 door mid size beginning of May.

Your rate seems awful high.

I tried National using the Mousesavers codes and brought the cost down to $56. Still a little more than what I expected but I'm happier with this fee.

We are also renting from Alamo at the MCO. Booked through a TA, for 14 days, the total was 265.00 for a compact. The TA was able to get the best deal for us.
