I was able to book a midsize through Alamo today for 10 days for $148.01. There were also great rates on full-size ($168.43) and compact ($137.13). I also have a midsize SUV booked for $188.XX.
My question is what cars have you been seeing in the mid-size range at Alamo and would you downgrade to a midsize from a midsize SUV for $40.
There is only 3 of us - me and DD will be taking ME for the convenience of luggage delivery and DH will pick up the rental - and then we'll check our luggage in and get our boarding passes at the resort - so no luggage worries. I don't know that we will use it a whole lot - but we have been using a rental more on past trips with DD. We were going to skip the rental entirely but now that prices are more reasonable - well I just hate being without transportation in case of an emergency, etc. Also - we might see about switching up some ADR's now that it will be easier to get to dining at resorts.

We are going 9/14-9/23. Up until recently we could not get anything under $200 for any car. Even when we booked the midsize SUV - it was cheaper than the smaller car classes.
