Going August 15th to the 19th and Alamo just drop their rates (sent an email out)!!! I just saved almost $100!!!!

Yeah, not bad, but....I signed up for their prefered customer program, and noticed in very small print, if you add a frequent flyer number, you are subject to a 50 cent a day charge. Why is it these companies like to look like they are giving you something, but hide the fact that they get some back. I agree that fifty cents is very small, but anything charged for using something they pretend to give you, ie...points toward free flight, is just plain wrong. I have the same membership with Budget, and Dollar. Neither one of them charge anything for frequent flyer. Ah well, good discount anyhow!

Even with the new Alamo code, my Oct 13-24 rates with National (11 days) are still cheaper using Priceless and Entertainment: $277 Nat'l vs $319 Alamo.

I just booked Alamo with the Walmart code off of Mousesavers.com (only saved $7.45 though) for Oct 1 - 8, a midsize SUV, for $183.96 total! Not bad.

I didn't know that you could stack codes with Alamo. I only thought that worked with National.

Can't seem to get a good rate. The best we have found for any compnay is $174. for 8 days aug12-19th for a mid size. I know that's not crazy expensive, but I miss the days of $100 rentals!!!

Alamo is still so much higher for our dates and class of car than National. I have NEVER found good rates on Alamo!

Booking through southwest for travel between 08/21 through 09/30 gives a better rate and it ends on 08/01
