Alamo car rental question

Hi,

We are thinking of staying at a Disney resort if the price is right for our stay and using the new magical express if we do... that means we can then pick up and drop off car rental at somewhere like the Dolphin.
I have been reading the transportation boards and it looks like on the american car hire website you can cancel and rebook the rental any time you like if you see that the rate has gone down. Is that the same for Uk sites such as Alamo.co.uk? I have checked the website but can't find anything that says yes or no.

Can't help you exactly with your question but just wondered if you have checked out Yescarhire.com - we use them everytime, they are always cars through Alamo and always cheaper than Alamo itself.

we book car for in laws they pick up at dolphin cheaper to book an all inclusice deal with someone like holiday autos as that is all you pay i have booked once througth alamo uk and dident read small print and had to pay extra when we got there think it was for LSI so ended up costing mor than holidayautos.the rebook cheaper is only an option for people who live in the states

Where are you staying on-site? Disney run a free shuttle bus to the "Disney Car Care Centre" which is run by Alamo. Just enquire at Guest Services and they will arrange it for you.

I have never found anywhere that can beat the quotes from http://www.rentacar-usa.com/allusa/
They are located in Ireland and have a UK phone number for easy contact, but the rates are in $US (with the great exchange rate this is a GOOD thing!). Furthermore, UK car rental bookings made through sites such as alamo UK tend to have many more restrictions IMO.

we just got back on saturday we rented from yescarhire it was the best price we found any where, and took the gold option it worked out at £5 more.
the day before we wanted the car we phoned alamo and they sent a bus to our resort and picked us up, just tip the driver a couple of $. when we took the the car back they dropped us back at the resort. easy peasy no hassle.
