How do you get tickets too the show? Do you just line up for each show or is there a fastpass for it.

Thanks

It has a regular stand by queue.

There are preffered seating tickets that come with hotel stay packages which may be causing confusion.

There is no assigned seating...

The Hyperion has three levels of seating.
Orchestra: Lower level, with the back half raised and under the next level.
Mezzanine: Middle level, you must walk up 55 steps or wait for the elevator.
Balcony: Top level, and additional stairs or escalator.

The Hyperian has about 1,800 seats, With Wheelchair sections at the back of each level. Orchestra holds about 1,000, Mezzanine about 450, Balcony 350.

Starting about one hour before the show time, They fill in the waiting areas in order: Orchestra - Mezzanine - Balcony. There is a smaller VIP waiting section.

10 minutes before show time they let in the VIP section into the Orchastra section lower level, and begin the the climb to the upper levels. Then open the Orchestra section to the upper Orchestra entrance. (Handicapped is allowed to use the lower entrance). You can then go from the upper Orchestra and fill in any open seat in the lower section. All levels are entered from the top, and exit after the show at the botom.

At the show time they close the doors and stop letting people in and make the announcement about no flash photography in English, Japanese, and Spanish. About 5 minutes later a cast member standing in front of the stage with a headset makes sure that everyone is seated, tells them to start, and exits.

Everyone has a different favorite spot. I like the right front of the Orchestra section as you can see the performers up close during the Key scenes. Others like front and center, or the front of the raised Orchestra section. The front or center of the Mezzanine is a good spot to see the show overall, and you get a great view of the flying carpet. The Balcony is very high and nobody wants to sit there.

If you show up 30-45 minutes early you will get the Orchestra section. 15-30 minutes early the Mezzanine, and close the show time the Balcony.

From the Mezzainine: they no longer allow anyone in the front row...

You only get VIP vouchers with some vacation plans where you book your hotel and DL Tickets together. (AAA, etc.).

To get the seats in the front row to the raised section at the back of Orcheastra, you need to have VIP Vouchers, or arrive when they open the waiting area 50-60 minutes before show time.

Is the flying carpet fixed? The tapestry was grounded at our showing in Dec.

Love this show as well, our new rule after our September trip is always remember to take little ones to the rest rooms prior to getting in line.

and good to see other Colorado enthusiast, 1000 miles is not too far!!

I will just add that I have seen this show many times formjust about everywhere in the building and my seat has never stopped me from enjoying the show. As the previous posted indicated there are advantages and disadvantages to each. If you have little ones, the most important thing is that the person sitting in front of them does not block their view. I love this show!!

Since we'll have one person in a sccoter, will the rest of us (5 more) be able to all stay together? The scooter person is able to exit the scooter, so we won't need wheelchair seats. We have at least one other person who can't do stairs, due to a hip & a knee replacement.

I'm the "planner", so I need to have some of this info ahead of time.

How do they handle seating for those with Priority Seating vouchers from a vacation package? Is that the VIP seating referred to in the original post? When should we arrive with our voucher and where will we be seated?

The priority seating has its own waiting area for admission to the facility. Go to the "Aladin" sign at the front of the theatre and look for a CM or sign for directions to the waiting area. Several times when we have used this service, a CM has asked for seating vouchers. Be a little early, as to the times we have used this, we were seated first. We have viewed the play from every part of the theatre, including the balcony, every vantage point has it's merits. Enjoy...:cool1:
