AKV What are developer points?

AKV, what are developer points, and do you get to use the add on points immediately? Also if I add on, when do I close? Do I close ASAP or in September when the units are completed.

Next, question.... What is SSR selling for? Are there any incentives?

AKV points cannot be used for reservations prior to September 1, 2007. They cannot be used to make AKV reservations until May 16(?).

Currently, SSR is still selling for $101 per point - but with the incentive may be purchased at $91 per point.

The Developer Points are available with AKV purchases. They are not resort specific ( no 11 month priority ), but may be used to make reservations immediately.

Also, the AKV developer points expire in 7 months. If you have no plans to use those points between now and Sept 1st, you are better off taking the $8/point discount instead of the developer points.

We just bought into SSR. We bought 300 points, got 300 in developer points and our use year is Oct. 1st. So we get another 300 then I talked with our guide today. He said that the 600 we have now....we can bank. We have until March 31st to do that. Then those have to be used by Oct. 2008. Hope this helps. We purchased at 101 but could have gotten them at 91 instead of develpers points.

You sure on this? I could swear my guide said they would be good for one year. Maybe because I have a February UY and we are in February that is why he said 1 year?

I'm repeating what I read in another thread, which is always a bit of a risk! I don't have first-hand info on this because I wanted the $8/pt discount so I didn't talk to my guide about the developer points. If I can find it, I'll post a link to the post where I read this.

This is true. I just spoke to my guide . I went ahead and only added 50 pts, which I dont see any thing special , but i was going to do 100 pts and she said they will take 8.00 off and the points had to be used in 7 mths. .
