Hey all,

We own at AKV and have stayed home for 3 trips and once at BLT most recently during marathon weekend (loved it). We're taking the whole family down for Thanksgiving this year and have already reserved a 2 br @ Kidani. We would like for everyone to be able to experience different resorts and noticed that during that week, Boardwalk's points are almost identical to AKV. Since we've never stayed there, how would y'all rate it and would you go for it with a party of 7? Thanks!

Having spent a pretty bad trip at Kidani in Dec 09, yes we spoke to Members service's, I would recommend you stay at BWV. We own at SSR but have come to feel like the Boardwalk is "Home" too. We hope to add on there.
There is just so much to do right there on the Boardwalk and with EPCOT and HS right there as well shouldn't be a problem to stay busy.
Besides its the Holidays and your with family so it'll be Magical any where you stay! Shawnpirate:

there are no 2-bedrooms at BWV - only 1-bedroom and studios.

so getting a 2-bedroom can be hard at any time - but Thanksgiving week is pretty popular. So your chances are not great.

doesn't mean it can't happen just don't count on it

Just to clarify: All 2 bedrooms at BWV are lock-offs, that is a 1 bedroom with a connecting door to a studio. That means you will have 1 king, 1 queen, 1 queen sofabed and 1 full size sofabed. There are no 2 bedrooms at BWV that have 3 beds and 1 sofabed.
You will probably not get a standard view nor a BW view but you might have a chance for a pool/garden view if you call at exactly 7 months. Good luck!

BWV are great... one of my favorite resorts... next to our Home Ones. Good luck!

BWV to me has the best location of any DVC resort, followed closely by BCV and BLT.

We love Kidani. You can't go wrong there. But BWV is our second fave. So if you can deal with the lockoff, it is worth a shot. When a huge beautiful 2 br at Kidani is your backup, you can't lose!

No worries with the lock-off. With our family dynamics, we actually prefer a lock-off to a dedicated 2 BR. Thanks for the tips, everyone; I will be on the phone with MS at exactly 7 months!
