Hi all , its going to be our 1st trip to disney this august, we are staying 5 nights in a studio savannah view we are renting points from a Dvc member but which savannagh should we request.

With a Jambo House Savanna View studio, your options are the Sunset, Arusha or Uzima savannas. Most people prefer Arusha because it is greener and doesn't have any "people pens". Only 30% (?) or so of the savanna view rooms face Arusha so it can be hard to get. It's hard to say which savanna would be the better second choice. Up until now with the Kidani construction affecting the view on the Sunset Savanna, I would have said Uzima was a good second choice especially because they have some adolescent giraffes on that savanna. But now that much of the Kidani construction is complete and the Sunset Savanna is larger than before, it might end up having better animal viewing than it has been in the past.

Thanks for the tips, I was looking at the sunset sav and arusha so i might put a request fo arusha and see how it goes, but then again i would like to see giraffes so maby Uzima. Its hard to decide realy

There are giraffes on all of the savannas at Jambo House. The only savanna that will not have them is the Pembe Savanna at Kidani Village. But when we were there last year they had a baby giraffe and an adolescent giraffe on Uzima so that was really special! The baby will be much larger now but still very cute I'm sure.

There are four booking categories at AKV/Jambo House: Value, Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge. I assumed from your post that you have a Savanna View room reserved. If it turns out you have a Jambo House Standard View room then it will face the pool area.
