AKV Incentives

OK, I can't resist. I really don't need any more points, but I love Animal Kingdom Lodge almost as much as I love Wilderness Lodge, so I need to get just a little piece of AKV.

Is there currently any incentive for members who want to add on at AKV? Or did I miss it? Or maybe I won't be buying enough points to take advantage of it.

I think - and maybe someone else can tell me if i'm right, that there you can get it for $101 per point instead of $104. There was a perk (wouldn't call it an incentive though) that if you purchased before end of Feb (i think) you got your name on some board that will be in the AKV lobby.

I dont' think there is anything else.

we took the discount since we aren't going to be going in the next 7 months

I own at VWL and had to get in on the AKV action too! The incentive only applies if you add-on 100+ points...

Add-ons at AKV cost $101/pt. The price goes up to $104/pt on June 4th. If you add on a minimum of 100 points, you can choose between a set of developer's points that expire in 7 months or an $8/pt incentive. This is exactly the same deal they offered to members when sales started on Feb 1st so you haven't missed out!

I don't really *need* any more points. I just wanted to own a little piece of AKV, and I wanted to be able to be guaranteed a stay there of at least a day or two even if I'm unable to do the seven-month switch for more days. So I just bought 25 points for $101 each.

Congratulations!! I understand completely! We didn't really need more points either, but we love AKL so we had to own some points at AKV. We went with 100 to get the incentive and that is plenty for us, but I keep feeling this tug to buy more... more... more!
