75 points @ $101 will cost $7575. 100 points @ $93 will cost $9300. This means the remaining 25 points cost $1725, or $69/point.

Of course, that's only for the last 25 points, not all 100!

I bought 150 in a single contract. What is the benefit of 3 smaller contracts? Is closing higher on 3 smaller contracts?

Easier to give the points to family members when you die if there are multiple contracts to go along with multiple family members. Also, if you ever need to sell points, you don't have to sell ALL of them, you can sell them 50 points at a time.

There are no closing costs with Disney when you do an add on so the number of contracts doesn't matter.

Not at all. I think anything less than 300 is fine.
I made the mistake on my first contract and bought 450 (before I knew better). I now target between 100 and 200 per contract. Contracts that are too small are at some disadvantage for resale, since the closing costs will increase the cost disproportionally.

You are looking at this all wrong. You would actually be getting a brand new AKV contract for $15 a point!

The only thing he would consider is selling one of our OKW contracts and buying more points at AKV, but that isn't going to happen, since I see no reason to sell points at $77/point to buy at $92.

We just did an add-on for 50 points. It's just DH & I, and my dream has always been to stay at AKL--I was so thrilled when they announced the DVC there! We are hoping to stay there once a year, but we just go for a few week nights (we go for a longer trip in June, and we'll either try to 7-month window it or stay at SSR (our home resort)) in the fall.

I'm so excited!!! Our guide said that the earliest you could book for this fall is May 15th--to stay in fall '07. Is this the info you have gotten? Is it a different date? Just wanted to be sure to be able to check it out at the earliest possible date (not that I'm compulsive or anything! )

Second, I actually received my paperwork today (although there is a mistake in it, but not related to booking dates ), and it says May 16th for booking!

168 points - we had previously purchased resale contracts from the Timeshare Store (great experience btw) and ended up with 432 points at BWV and BCV, so we added 168 AKL points to give us an even 600.

We are buying 3, 50 point contracts tomorrow. We had to wait to see if my former company would be re-hiring me, which they are, all confirmed today. Timing couldn't be better. So, DH said " go ahead with the add-on"

So now I have a job AND points at AKV. I think this is the best Monday I have ever had.

• We looked into the future and realized that we would like the ability to book a 2BR as the kids get older, start families......
• We LOVE AKL and could not pass up the idea of having AKL as a home resort.
• The 100 points gave us the $8 discount....
