:woohoo: I just logged on to the DVC member website and my waitlist came through for a CV studio! I have always wanted to try concierge level, but was too cheap to pay for it. :rotfl: Now all I have to do is wait until May!

CONGRATULATIONS! We are staying in a CV 1 bedroom in March, so I'll let you know how it is.

We're staying CL at AKV the last week of January, and we can't wait! :yay:
After so many years of going to WDW, both pre- and post-DVC, we wouldn't pay extra $ for many of the services that are now automatically done by us. But with DVC making that level part of a resort, :woohoo: , we're booking it! :thumbsup2
(yeah, I know, points are $ on some level, but it's easier to pretend they're not...............sorta like "samples" of chocolate don't have calories 'cause they're free:rotfl: ):rolleyes1

:goodvibes that's great news - we are also on a waitlist for CL for the beginning of Feb - so here's hoping I have great news to share too :thumbsup2

For many years, I have been reading & studying these boards, & I just joined! Finally!!!

My DH & I will also be at the AKC the last week of January for 3 nights. I am looking forward to trying it out in a 1 bedroom. We don't want to do without a king bed!:rotfl2:

Thanks!

Right now my ears are red:rolleyes1 I just looked at my post & the sentences just didn't come out as I imagined. Can you tell that this is my first time for posting like this:rotfl:

Hope

LOL!:rotfl2: Last time I went to the "AKC", it was a real "dog" of a place! Sorry, to LOL, but your typo nearly made me fall off my chair laughing! I breed and show AKC dogs, and while the AKC building in NYC is a great old building, I certainly wouldn't want to stay there!:rotfl2:

Now I'm laughing & crying at the same time! Maybe I shouldn't use shortened forms for anything. It is amazing when you are typing how crazy your finger can be.

Anyway, my husband & I are staying Animal Kingdom concierge at the end of January.

Hope

Congrats on getting AKV concierge level. Don and the rest of the AKL concierge staff are GREAT!!!! Enjoy your stay. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to hear reports from all of you staying there before me. Something tells me that I could get really spoiled! :rolleyes1

Will the concierge staff contact me or should I contact them once I hit the 180 day mark?

I will be there from the 15th until the 19th. Of course, now I am thinking about adding another day. I am hoping that it will be a Star Wars weekend, but if it isn't that's ok too.

I would contact then before the 180 mark so that they can book anything you need as soon as the respective windows open.

We have two short stays booked there and I contacted the IPO shortly after we booked to get on the list for the safaris. They can't be booked until 180 but it is somehow entered in their system.

Have fun and happy planning!:cool1:

Congrats! We are staying at the AK CL for the first time in May (our first DVC stay and first AK stay). We can't wait!

Yeah!!! We are 1 bdrm concierge at AKV May 12-16. I am hoping for Davy Jones on Mothers Day (I.ll be at BWV).

I have done both, so whatever you feel most comfortable with. I contacted them directly when I made my October reservation through CRO, however, right after I made my DVC concierge reservation for Feb., I got the 180 day from Don welcoming me back and asking what he could do for me. He does a great Donald Duck impression by the way!

He will go through your reservation with you, how many and who the people are in the room since DVC has not been providing that to them and as of yet, they do not have access to the DVC reservation system. He will ask about any dining reservations you would like for them to make, if you have any special occasions and any special tours you might like.

For my October trip it will be my nephew's 1st birthday so he has made arrangements to have a Mickey birthday cake in the room on arrival and also the mickey ears with Blake's name already embroidered on them for me. I've gotten so spoiled by AKL concierge, I don't know if I'll ever be able to stay in Kidani. :rotfl:

Just curious when you'll be there in March...DH & I are there March 10-14 in a concierge studio. I know there are very few concierge rooms for AKV, so if we're there at the same time it's a darn good chance we'll be neighbors.

My family will be staying in a concierge studio Mar 9 - 16. This is our first trip home and I am very excited.

I called concierge itinerary planning and requested the reservation for the sunrise safari on the Thursday March 13th. :yay: Are you planning to take the safari?
