AKV Concierge in September 2008

Hi we are looking at adding 2 days to our stay in September. We want to stay at a 2bdr AKV Concierge check in Friday 12th and check out Sunday 14th. If a 2bdr is not avail we would also do 2 studios Concierge for the same dates. Do you think we would be able to get it right on the 7mth mark or should I look for someone with AKV points to rent from ???

Since those are nights with high points (Fri and Sat) you may have a shot at it. Also, it's less busy then because school just started. If, however, your heart is really set on those dates for concierge, the only way to guarantee it is to find somene with AKV points willing to rent or transfer to you so that you get the 11 month advantage. You're already past that so the rooms could already be booked though.

I think you should find someone with AKV points - many members want concierge because of the special Safari's available to concierge guests.

While I agree that weekend nights may book more slowly, I don't think they will still be available even for a September stay. AKV members have been booking just one night to get access to the Safaris.

For those who do not know, there are only 5 two bedroom lock off units in the concierge category. If all were rented as studios or 1 bedrooms, there would be a max of 10 units available. Since the OP wants a 2 bedroom or two studios, I think his/her chances are relatively poor at the 7 month mark.

You could try to get a 2 bedroom, but I think you will have a problem, I already have one 1 bed and 2 studios booked at the same time you are looking for. you should try to rent AKV points and see if anything is still available. Good luck
