AKV booked today with no wait list for this weekend!

I am so excited that I was able to call and book an AKV studio for this weekend without being on on a wait-list for Friday through Sunday. I really didn't expect it to happen and thought that I would have to wait-list it especially since it is at such short notice but the CM on the phone said there was a room and if I didn't mind a Savannah view I could have it. WOW, how great!!

We have good luck getting Friday or Sat on short notice, seems those higher points do make a difference.

You can't wait list for a check-in date that's less than 7 nights away.

Yes...even with the reallocation of points, the weekends still aren't as popular, so it seems. I suppose all nights have to be the same to really find out the reason that you seem to be able to get weekends at short notice.

Yep, even after reallocation, we were able to get BW view on a Friday and Saturday, the first of December, 6 hours before arrival. We pretty much had our pick of studios in all resorts.
