AKL room request...help!

I am helping a coworker plan her trip next week and she was curious as to which room would be best for their vacation. I am not familiar enough with the AKL to help her with the room request. It will be her, her DH, her DS (7) and her DD (4). They have a standard view reserved, but they would like a balcony and bunk beds. Is there such a room possible? Any suggestions would be helpful!

I would suggest calling the resort a few days before the arrival date and making exactly that request to them. I would also recommend mentioning that you would appreciate any complimentary upgrades that might be available (AKL is 90% savannah view, so you have a shot if they are not booked up). You can also call reservations and have it noted on your reservation (I would), but from what I understand, it doesn't always translate over to the hotel.

It's better to ask for those kinds of things before check-in when the room assignments are made. At check-in, there might not be anything they can do (although I'm sure they'd try).
