AKL Pool View?

Has anyone stayed in an AKL pool view room? How was it? I ws only offered standard or savanna and just found out about the pool view.

I stayed in a Savannah view room, which was great, but I would definitely ask for the pool view in the future. The pool is spectacular and large. You also get a view of the animals beyond the pool. The pool view gives good people watching, and you can also watch the pool area for times that it is busy or slow.

When at the pool, I often looked up at those rooms, and thought how great it would be to have one. Depending what side of the pool you are on, you would also be able to look into the restaurants at night, because they have glass walls, and there is a little brook that runs outside by the pool. This resort is very well themed. There are big sand colored boulders all around the pool, and the animals often congregated in the areas just outside the pool.

Definitely look into it.

Hi,

My husband and I stayed in Pool View rooms at the AKL for a total of 15 days during 2001. Both rooms were good and from one of the rooms you could see animals out on the Uzima Overlook. There are plenty of areas around the resort to see animals so we would diffently stay in a Pool View room again.
