AKL need hints, which room

We are staying in a savannah view room at AKL the last week in October. I have a few questions.

Should I request a specific building or area? I really want to watch the animals, seeing the pool is fine too. But, most importantly, I need to be close to the main lodge.

I have breast cancer and my last chemo is two weeks before our trip (This is my post chemo party!). I am going to get tired easily and I haven't been walking much..... So, I don't want to add another mile onto my trek at the hotel.

Any sugesstions on what I should ask for? I'll also take any other hints you are offering!

Call the room assigner 4 days before your trip, or fax them. Explain that you reserved a savannah view room, but due to medical reason(explain them) you need a Savannah room not at the end of a hall. They always fill medical requests

I would suggest asking for a room on Zebra which is near Mara if you will be using the food court, as we were on the other trail
and it was a long trek to get to the food court.

The food court is on the ground floor, but the lobby is on level 3.

something on level 3 in the first block nearest reception would be my suggestion,
