AKL more $$$ than GF??

Okay, maybe not a question other than HUH??!! :

As a recently approved VISA card members we are hoping to qualify for the 4/7 deal. When pricing out an AKL deluxe room (required for 5) it was actually more money than the GF GV room. Okay, only $4 more but . . .I was still really surprised it would cost more. Can AKL's outstanding theming really supercede Disney's beautiful flagship resort in terms of monorail access and level of service?? Can anyone who stayed both chime in??

No way is the AKL better then the GF. The AKL price is for a deluxe room which is generally overpriced to begin with. The GF pricing is for a standard room.

Hi. I've stayed at both. GF is my all-time favorite but I love AKL, too. They are COMPLETELY different experiences. The AKL deluxe is still only 381 square feet. Standard rooms at GF are about 400 square feet. I don't know the ages of your group or the park(s) of greatest interest. If you have little ones and are going to be spending time at MK, I would have to recommend GF. And it is absolutely gorgeous! AKL, however, is breath-taking and has a LOT to offer, itself. But I wouldn't want to share a room with four others there...I did a deluxe with 2 other adults and DD(7). I can't imagine having had another body in there
