Hello everyone! Quick question about the shop at Kidani Village- does anyone know what grocery-type items are sold here?

We are driving and will take most of our food items with us, but refrigerated food is a little more difficult- we don't want to stick them in a cooler and have to worry about them for the 17 hour drive. I was hoping to not have to stop at a Publix, etc. on the way into Disney...

Does the shop sell milk (skim/low fat milk)? What other refrigerated items do they have? If not, what about the shop in Jambo House?

Anyone know a website that has a detailed list of items? I've had no luck searching...

Thanks for any help!

You can go under the DVC website under vacation planning, grocery order and pull up AKV and see what items they offer. I'm not sure all of those items are available in the store (the store at Kidani is pretty small and the grocery section at the Jambo store isn't very big either) but you can at least see what you could have delivered to your room for a fee.

Even without the delivery fee, the chart will tell you what the prices are. You might want to stop at the Publix anyway. :lmao:

It has been quite awhile since we stayed at Kidani but as I recall the shop there has minimal grocery items - it does have the basics - milk, bread, etc. but for a bigger selection you need to go to the store at Jambo House.

Yes, Jambo has a bigger selection than Kidani in frozen foods and grocery items.

OP, have you considered Garden Grocer? Not worth it if you don't need much but it has made our trips a lot easier by not worrying about packing some snacks. They deliver and charge regular supermarket prices.

Thank you everyone for the replies! I will check out that board, and will also pass on this information to my parents!

I've read on here about the Garden Grocer, but you are exactly right- I really don't think it would be worth it for the amount of things we need. We pack snacks for the drive down/up, and we've been in such a habit of packing snacks for the bookbag that it isn't too much trouble for us. I can really only think of 2-3 items we will need, the most important being milk!! My dad and brother cannot go a week without a milk- I swear my brother is cranky for the day if he doesn't have some milk for breakfast! :lmao:

It really sounds like we'll be okay sticking to the AKL shops!

Thanks again for your help everyone! :goodvibes
