AKL Jambo 1 Bedroom Views

We are staying in a 1 Bedroom AKL Jambo standard view room on our upcoming trip. Can I get any recommendations on what to request at check in in order to get a decent view of the animals from our balcony?

Most standard views at Jambo are pool views. None are parking view.
Some savanna view rooms were reclassified down to standard as they were sub-optimal savanna views (people pens, stair obstructions, or areas that animals don't frequent)

It may help to ask for Kudo Trail (west side of the building) as all of those Kudo side rooms are reclassified savanna rooms.
(I happened to get a reclassified one on the Zebra side, over a people pen, but that is the pool side of the building)

Actually, as a result of the conversion of a number of savanna view rooms to standard view at Jambo six years ago, the majority of standard views are now savanna view and the minority pool view. As to making a request, it should be done through Member Services (if you are a renter then you should ask the owner to make the request). The requests you can make with online check-in are designed for the hotel not the DVC rooms, are very limited, and many of them do not even apply to DVC rooms, e.g., a request you can make during online check-in is either higher or lower floor but at Jambo all the DVC rooms are on the 5th floor except for club level rooms on the sixth. If you want savanna view, the request to make is for a room along Kudu Trail, the left side of the u-shapped building, where the only standard view DVC rooms are all rooms converted from savanna view.
