Hi
Advance planning for our next year's holiday trip(12/22-12/30). This will be the first trip during a "high Capacity" time of year. Read lots about MK and Epcot on Xmas day.
Was wondering if anyone was at AK or MGM this yr (or previous). Is it as bad there?? We're planning for MK on some of the other days to avoid the absolute worst of the crowds.
Thanks for the input.....

Although I've not been to either on Christmas Day, do remember that AK closes early while MGM would be open late. You might have problems trying to get into another park for the evening after AK closes.

We were there this past Christmas day and I would choose MGM. Crowds were great!! I'm sure AK would be too, but I chose MGM. We had short waits for everything in the park. We went to the last showing of Fantasmic and the staduim was not crowded, we got FP for ToT and the return time was an hour. Shows were easy to get into even without standing in line. It was nice being there (DW) this Christmas but I wouldn't do it again.

I went to MGM on Christmas Day 2000. It was crowded, but manageable. Use Fastpass well, take in a few shows, and enjoy the atmosphere. MGM should have Osborne Lights back next year, and it feels very Christmasy there. Much more so than AK. You also can easily take a boat, or walk, from MGM to the Boardwalk or even Epcot. You might want to make PS's for a meal at one of the area resorts. Beach Club's Cape May would be a good choice, and there are several at Swan/Dolphin. Make sure you go to the Candlelight Processional sometime during your trip. It's a must see.
