Looking at our tentative schedule, we really want to start our day at MK for our first full day in the parks. If we do that and have an earlyish lunch (11:30), could we go straight to AK and still have a chance to ride EE that day with a FastPass? It will be the same day AK has evening EMH.

Thanks!

We could make a much better prediction if you told us the DAY and the DATE of your trip. :thumbsup2

Not ot hijack your post, but does anyone know how long AK stays open with the evening EMHs? We'll be there Sept 24 - Oct 1.

Every Evening EMH lasts 3 hours past the posted closing time of the park in question.

The posted closing times never include the EMH hours.

If EMH are three hours later than posted, how early are the morning extra hours? We will be there May 11-13th and then cruise. I just noticed that AK closes at 5pm.

Well, what do you know...

That's the same day we are arriving!

Expect DAK to be quite busy after noon.

FPs might be gone, but with the lower crowd-levels in mid-May, you might get lucky.

NOTE:
I can suggest that you leave MK about 10:30am, head straight to DAK and go right to EE. Pick up FPs (if the standby line is not too bad... get in it.)
Then have some lunch nearby as you wait for your FP Return time.

Flame Tree BBQ at entrance to Dinorama is supposed to be good.

And we like the burgers at Restaurantosaurs in Dinorama.

AM EMH is 1 hours before the posted park opening.
Have fun!

We arrive in late Sept. on a EMH at AK at night. I had asked previously about this same thing. If we get there by 2 pm will we be able to get FP EE? That and KR are the two things my boys really want to do, but we aren't huge AK fans so I hate to waste a full day there (no parkhoppers this time) any thoughts? :confused3 Is the safari a waste in the afternoon? Is that open during EMH (Sept.27th)?

I could switch stuff around if I need too. Any help is appreciated.

We were at WDW for the busy holiday these past 2 weeks. FP were not available for EE by midday. AK was by far the busiest park. I think if you really want to ride EE go to AK first thing and get the FPs, then go to another park.

Hey! I'll be there May 17th also. :thumbsup2 We're doing the Petty driving experience at 9am then it's over the Animal Kingdom. We are hoping to get a night time ride on Expedition Everest during the EMH.

Mornings are the best time for the Kilimanjaro Safari. I rode it one afternoon and only saw about a third of the animals I usually see in the mornings. It's not a waste in the afternoon but it's better first thing in the morning. The animals have just been let out onto the safari and are very active.

I'm still wondering if anyone has done evening EMH at AK and was able to get on EE then? If so, how were the lines and did they have Evening EMH Fastpasses? Anyone? :rolleyes1

I asked this same question on another thread, but I want to see if any of you know. If you do Breakfastasaurus and finish your meal prior to park opening, what do you do? Do you have to leave the park and re-enter with everyone else, or do they hold you somewhere inside the park? If they hold you somewhere inside, how do they decide when to let you go? Just thought that if you are held in Dinoland, and you're rope drops at the same time as up front, would you not have a good lead on those coming from the front?

They hold you in Dinorama area until rope-drop time.
You'll be able to get to EE along with (or a tiny bit before) the main crowd.

I just read today on another thread that they re-started new FPs for EE during a recent PM EMH.

That does not mean that they will ALWAYS do this.
Its up to the discretion of the managers (if they think crowd-levels merit evening FP at any park or attraction) on a night-by-night basis.
