I'm currently making plans for AK on 3/16 and I'm looking for a little advice. We haven't been to AK since 2011 (it was a really slow day) and it's our first trip to WDW with FP+, so like everyone else, planning is a little different. We hoped to arrive at AK a little later so the recent change to open at 8:00am has me rethinking how to organize.

How feasible is doing Festival of the Lion King and then Flights of Wonder back to back. I've seen one post saying it could be done, but was wondering if anyone else has done this recently. It's one of the options I'm thinking about and would be for 1:00 FTLK and 1:45 Flights of Wonder. Thoughts? Does Flights ever fill up (we've never done it)?

I was also curious about wait times. When I see them at touring plans or easywdw is that based on a 9:00 opening? How much do they change with an 8:00 start (ie. expect 11:00 waits at 10:00)? I'm deciding about using FP+ at AK or hold it for a park hop later.

How much time should a person plan for lunch at Restaurantosaurus around noon? We usually try to go earlier and beat lunch crowds but that might not happen this time depending on how I organize the day.

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. That'll work.
You want to exit quickly from FotLK and walk very briskly to FoW.
4. Rarely completely full, as the seating is benches (and a lot of 'em.)
5. That place is a zoo of guests at lunchtime. If you don't have a lot of time to waste,
I'd rethink it. The lines to order are ridiculous.

I appreciate the info Robo. There aren't many choices at AK that my kids would like so I'm kind of limited and will have to plan accordingly. Thx

Ate at Restaurantasaurus on Saturday. There was a line out the door and probably 50ft outside. I would say stay away between 12-3. We came back at 3:30 to emptiness.

A few weeks ago we went to the 10 AM FOTLK and the 10:45 Flights of Wonder, so it's possible. We got to FOW about 5 minutes before the show started without walking too quickly and even letting our kids play on the drums along the way for a few minutes.

And I agree with the other posters, Restaurantasaurus can be crazy at lunch. We were there on a very low crowd level day and it was chaotic inside and the line was almost out the door. The kitchen was so busy that my kids' lunches came with buckets but no food. :p If I had it to do again, I would have gotten lunch in Asia after FOW. That was my first time at Restaurantasaurusm has it always been that busy or are more people heading there since Flame Tree closed for renovations?

Flame Tree refurb is a contributing factor, but Restaurantosaurus is a busy lunch spot, in general.

That eases my mind to see several doing FOTLK and FOW back to back. Think I will have us in Dinoland at 11 so we can hit lunch right away before heading to up to Africa for Safari and then the shows. Thx to all.
