I am attempting to put together a basic strategy for AK.

My DD4 is only 41", however DD7 is 49", so we would definitely want to do EE that day and get FPS' so we can child swap.

Will the FP's for EE still be available if we go and do the Safari and Pangani Trail next to the Safari first? We plan to be there at RD, but, since the park is only open until 5 pm, I wasn't sure if the FP's ran out early for EE or when would be a suggested time to get them by (11, noon?).

Also we plan to be there on March 9, a Tuesday, Crowd predictor is 4, so do I really need to worry about beating crowds to these attractions?

1- Will the FP's for EE still be available if we go and do the Safari and Pangani Trail next to the Safari first?

2- We plan to be there at RD, but, since the park is only open until 5 pm, I wasn't sure if the FP's ran out early for EE or when would be a suggested time to get them by (11, noon?).

3- do I really need to worry about beating crowds to these attractions?

1- Yes.

2- Should be fine until early afternoon. But, in the mornings: no problem at all.

3- Nobody can predict for SURE... but you should be just fine.

Have a magical trip!!

If this were me in your situation, I would send my wife up to the Safari and take our tickets up to EE and grab the fast passes and then cut across the park and meet up with them at the Safari entrance. Obviously if that is to much for you to handle you don't do it, but if you have good kids, a double stroller ect... this would be a good idea. It will allow you to hit those first 2 attractions and head straight over to EE, and it will allow you to get another FP when finished with EE since you would have gotten the FP earlier.

And, for information-
Those attractions, EE and Safari, are about as far apart as any two at WDW.

Thanks for the responses.

I really don't want to split from my family to get the EE FP's and, this is our first trip to WDW, and the distance looks huge b/t the 2 attractions, but we will see how the crowds are and we can make the decision at RD. Also, my DH may think I am crazy to suggest running to EE for the FP's, he really has no idea yet on this planning stuff. He understands we need a plan, but doesn't want any comando style stuff and wants to take our time and enjoy the park (go figure?) LOL.

What time of year are you going? If you're not there during true peak, EE is not going to be a problem for you. We've been there many times, in July and April mostly, once in late May. Even right now...with the parks building into presidents week, the wait on the regular line for EE is only 10 minutes..according to my wait times app....
I wouldjust head over to safari at a human pace, do that then head over to ee...if there's more than a 30 min wait, just fp it, you won't have a problem.
What we really enjoyed and are doing again is donald's breakfast at tusker house, we'll be out of there just as rope drops and be one of the first on safari, when the animals are at their liveliest! Then we'll head toward EE, stopping to walk through Pangani. As I said, if the line is longer than we are willing to wait, we'll just FP and then see what we want to do..if there's a Nemo coming up, we'll head to that, or flights of wonder. Lion King is toward the front of the park, so we'll do that later.

I forgot to mention that if you have time to participate in the give a day promotion, you could get the special FP's that are effective immediately and never run out. We have 3 of those, but we'll be using them in the other 3 parks where there are higher demand rides...

2- and never run out.

1- True.

2- Sorry but, not true. They are not unlimited.

The GAD FastPass choice operates in the same way as the recent 2009 "Free on Your Birthday" FP rules.

HERE is an explanation of how the special FP's work.

Sorry Robo..I said it poorly, what I meant is that the FP's are never "all gone" - there's always one machine reserved to get GAD FP's even after the others are sold out..I didn't mean that you have endless uses..sorry if I got anyone excited!
